This is where I want to scream.... LOUDLY.
This is what I dread most after reading an amazing book. Trying to word a review to give the book justice, and truly I don’t think there is any words that will.
Willow Winters has the amazing ability to suck you into a plot so deep that you lose time... and Hard To Love did just that.
It’s no secret that Willow is one of my top favourite authors, having only discovered her just over a year ago, she’s become a must read author, an automatic one-click, so it was no surprise to me that I would love this book just like all her others..
This little gem here was jam packed with suspense, heat, passion, lust, mystery and SO MUCH MORE. I love how Willow can lead me into a plot, basically blind and just when I think i’ve come to figure it out, when I have THOUGHT I knew what was happening and what was to come, and BOOM... she throws in some plot twists, twists that kept me on my toes from start to finish, twists that had me wanting to scream, and had me begging for more..I literally devoured this book in one day. I even went as far as going shopping with my kindle in my hand.
I got some weird looks, but it was worth it!!
Seth is EVERYTHING. And when I say everything...
I mean
E. V. E. R. Y. T. H. I. N. G.
He’s bad ass, when he wants something, he will get it at any cost. He’s ruthless, domineering, and puts up with no bullshit! Everything he claims ultimately turns blood and pain.. He’s the definition of the perfect boyfriend in my opinion..
Laura was unique in her own way too.
She was smart, beautiful, and good.. she was everything Seth needed, but knew he shouldn’t want.. he knew he was about to ruin her, he knew he was bad for her, but she became his escape, his way out of this crazy world if only for a moment in time. She was his addiction and he was to selfish to walk away..
Can he walk away? Or will this love go up in flames just like everything else he touches?
Wow, just wow.
I cannot fault these characters in any way. They were perfect for each other, and when I say perfect... I mean Laura was his light in the darkness that is his world. The chemistry between these two was insane, the push and pull was enough to send me crazy and the tension that continued to build as the plot progressed was intense. I couldn’t get enough, I could not put it down!
This is a true Willow Winters book, the darker side of romance with epic twists of passion, lust, want, need, love, hate, and epic suspense! It was highly addictive and definitely a book I’ll be re-reading time and time again.
As always, Willow’s ability to weave her words into an unforgettable, all-consuming and addictive plot blows my fucking mind!

ღ I've been looking forward to reading Seth's story since we 1st met him. I found myself sucked so completely into this story & I want so much more from this couple.
I was so captivated! I am adamant that I do not want to spoil anything about Seth & Laura’s story. But just know that this is an amazing story to be an emotional roller coaster ride all the to the last page… Then be prepared to throw your Kindle across the room cuz this wicked lady left us with a cliffhanger.... I could say I truly love Willow Winters writing skills & amazing way to capture a story & its characters .. but at this particular moment all I want to do is yell & scream Wtf October 8, 2019 is long way off for someone so addicted to This Woman's books
When all is said & done .. as I take deep breath & calm myself, I can truly say without doubt This book is currently my favorite book by Willow Winters! But don’t say anything when I repeat that statement on her next book!
Seth & Laura’s story continues in… Desperate to Touch.

Omggggggg!!! I can not believe I've waited so long to read Willow Winters. This book... THIS FREAKING BOOK... I basically ate it for dinner. My heart is still not back to normal and when I think back on everything it's just been through, I get flickers of pleasure pain all over again. The writing on these pages is STELLAR. The storytelling is EVERYTHING. This world Winters has built is dark and gritty and terrifying and passionate. I both hated and loved every bit of it. I could not get enough. It was so good. So so good.
I'm hooked. I need everything this author has ever written. I need more of THIS, this elusive FEELING that rarely makes an appearance while I'm reading but was present on every single page of Hard to Love. This is what addiction must be like. Seth and Laura's story is intoxicating. Euphoric in the way only the ugliest, most lush high must be like. It feels so good even at its darkest. It heats your blood, makes everything feel alive even though it might just kill you... and as soon as you come down from it, you only WANT MORE. I want more.
This couple is a tragedy in the making. Their story was born in devastation and it exists in that place for it's entirety. But that darkness, that desperation... it's peppered with moments of such rightness, such hope, such absolute soul searing LOVE. It's those moments that keep you on the edge, on the tenuous line between hope and absolute despair.
It hurts so good, this book. I devoured every word because it was just THAT delicious. Seriously, Winters' way with words is everything I didn't know I needed. I couldn't get enough. This story is so emotional, so gritty, so suspenseful, so devastating. There were moments so grim, my heart broke right down the middle. There are moments so hopeful, I couldn't help but NEED. And that's where I'm left... completely needy for what's to come. I'm so THRILLED I've found this new-to-me author because while I wait for more of this story, I'll be binge reading her backlog. I can not wait for what's next.

She has well and truly shook to the core, in that, I don’t know which way is up or down, right or wrong, good or bad right now, or anymore. Truth be told, all of that is irrelevant but note: Hard To Love is definitely a masterclass for all things mafia romance!!

I have become more and more attached to the silent and deadly Seth after reading Jase's trilogy and was so excited when I heard that he would getting his own story. I wanted to know more about his relationshipnto Laura and why and how they were so connected. And after this book? OMG! Willow Winters blew my mind and left me gasping for more! Seth and Laura were FIRE! I loved how in-tune they were to each other and how passionate they were!
GAH!! That ending was INSANE!!! I was desperately trying to put together the pieces and was sitting on the edge of my seat the entire time. And that ending was PHENOMENAL!! I had questions about that ending scene after seeing it in the prior trilogy with Bethany but to see it from Seth's perspective was crazy!! I'm now so curious to see how deeply Seth is really entrenched with the Cross brothers and the seedy underworld of Tremont and look forward to more of his and Laura's story. 5 stars! ~Ratula

I'm not sure that there is a review that will do this book justice but I'm going to give it my best shot.
Holy Sh*t is literally the only thing I could say after I finished this book. I spent much of it with my heart racing. Seth and Laura’s story is FIRE! On so many different levels! Seth and Laura’s story starts before the Merciless series in a different city but eventually in the most heart-racing way we end up back in the Cross brothers world. It ends with a cliffhanger that will piss you off but also love all at the same time. It's definitely a binge-worthy read you won't want to put it down. I can't wait to read the next book in this series!!!!
I LOVE Daniel Cross (Possessive) he will always be my number one favourite book boyfriend before everyone else... But Seth... He is something special.

I have no words. Hard to Love had me shook!! It was everything I hoped for and more. I was anticipating Hard to Love for a while now and Willow Winters did not disappoint. She never ceases to amaze me with her writing. It’s a true testament to what kind of author Ms. Winters is when she can deliver a book that captures your undivided attention and makes you forget about everything else around you.
Seth and Laura have been first introduced in the Irresistible Attraction series. Although, those books do not have to be read as Hard To Love is about Seth and Laura pre the Cross Brothers. Seth and Laura have a chemistry that is explosive. It bleeds off the pages and you feel every emotion. This is Book 1 to what will be an epic series as you see where the couple started and I can’t wait to see where they get to.
Willow Winters has yet again made me fall in love of one of her book boyfriends. Time and time again she has proved to be an exceptional writer by taking her readers on these amazing journey’s through her characters and her words. I was immediately drawn to this book couldn't function on work... I was so tired, I was so hungover from this Greatness that is Hard To Love I immediately started reading it again and again..

In true Willow Winters fashion, I am left breathless and aching for more. She completely blew me away with Seth and Laura’s story.
The majority Hard to Love is giving us Seth and Laura’s background story. We know they had a past by reading The Irresistible Attraction trilogy. We saw snippets of the characters interactions but we really had no idea what had happened. I love to know all of the details of a second chance romance. I want to know why they broke up, what their love was like, their friends, everything. I feel like Willow delivered it perfectly and all of it is just know information to understand Seth and Laura.
Seth is a force to be messed with. He’s unfiltered, dangerous, and a brute. But when it comes to Laura, she’s his weakness. She everything he shouldn’t have in his life that he loves. But he’s too selfish to let her go. We’ve seen small parts of him throughout Jase’s story so we know how dangerous he can be. Laura is his downfall, but Seth is hers.
I am so incredibly excited to see what Willow brings next with Seth and Laura. She never lets me down with the suspense and the angst. Her characters make me fall in love and I never want to leave their world. Her books are an escape, an outlet. I forget I’m reading whenever I read one of Willows books. Hard to Love is no different. Is it possible to give a book more than five stars?

I am so incredibly excited to see what Willow brings next with Seth and Laura. She never lets me down with the suspense and the angst. Her characters make me fall in love and I never want to leave their world. Her books are an escape, an outlet. I forget I’m reading whenever I read one of Willows books. Hard to Love is no different. Emotional and Provocative
Willow Winters has done it again. Just when I think I have a grasp on a story or character I have been introduced to but don’t really know yet I am proven wrong. Oh so wrong. I didn’t have a clue! I do in fact feel slayed by Seth. Seth loves Laura. He worships her. He would do almost anything for her. But Seth and Laura don’t live some happy simple existence and it creates a highly emotional and provocative story that pulls you in and wont let you go. Much like Seth gets in deeper and deeper so did I. Their chemistry is as undeniable as their struggles. I felt with them! Stressed, feared, and hurt with them! And fell for them because they are such fighters. I can’t fault and just want to see characters succeed who have such heart even when they are down and out. I want to read it again and definitely recommend it. It will give you all the feels! Side note-you don’t have to have read the other stories surrounding Hard To Love although I suggest it and you are missing out if you have not or don’t.

Seth and Laura's story will have you hooked from the start and craving more with every page you read. An intense read you won't want to put down. That ending tho!!! Willow Winters knows how to leave me on the edge of my seat and panting for more! I EFFING LOVED this book!
Here’s what I loved:
I thoroughly enjoyed meeting Seth in the previous series. As Jase’s right hand man, we got to see him quite a bit and I loved his interaction with Laura and Bethany. Moving forward to this installment, and seeing his initial meeting with Laura and a bit of their history was AMAZING! I love him even more now.
The book is sexy, suspenseful, and I really enjoyed the story ARC. I was all in from beginning to end!
And that ending! WOWZA, gah, dark and broody gets me going like nothing else! I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next! RECOMMENDED!!

Oh my goodness. Words can not justify how simply AMAZING this book was!!! Not only was I completely hooked by the story but the writing itself was just pure magic. Ms Winters hit this book right out of this universe, and it has now become one of my favorites from her to date.
My mind is so completely blown right now, The suspense was on point, It was written so well that I was just enthralled and did not see those twists coming at all! I cried, I literally cried while reading, even thinking about it now has my heart hurting. I did not want to leave this book world at all.
Seth is just another "Winters Hero" I fell in love with. He is just amazing, trying to do the best he can with what he has, and it was inevitable that I would swoon for him. Lauren is sweet, she is a gentle soul who feels things right to her heart. She is one of my favorite heroines in any of Willow Winters books.

With each continuing story, the characters get better. Each one has traits that set them apart, but also link them together in the dark, suspenseful world we have come to appreciate.
Being a unicorn of sorts, Seth exudes nothing but power, dominance and passion. He’s raw, unadulterated and everything you could want in your next book boyfriend.
Not to discredit our heroine Laura in this story. She’s sassy, determined and slightly unhinged. After her appearance in Jase and Bethany’s story, you really get to see her and experience her hurt.

The Queen has done it once again. Willow not only hit the ball out of the park, she made it a grand slam. This is Seth and Laura’s story pre Cross brothers. I was not ready for this book like I thought I was. This story had me gripped from the very beginning, it never let go and made me wanting so much more. This world is one of the best that Willow has written. It will take you up, down and all around. My emotions were bouncing around like a damn ping pong ball and they still are.
Seth and Laura have gone through so much in a short amount of time. In pure Willow fashion, you will feel every emotion the characters feel. It is gripping, emotional, enthralling, and enticing. I just want to jump in this world and never leave. There are so moments that will make you laugh, cry, yell and want throw your kindle across the room. You will love this book and Seth and Laura so much. Get ready to be #SlayedBySeth

I finished Hard to Love and had to pull myself back together before I could write a review, it left my heart racing for more! I have absolutely loved all of Willow's books and honestly Dirty Dom has always been my favorite and I didn't believe anything could top that until this one! Seth's story will knock your socks off!!!! Willow has absolutely out done herself on this one. The connection between Seth and Laura chemistry burns right off of the pages and will leaving you burning!!! Once I finished Hard to Love and set my phone down the only thing that came to mind was "holy shit"! Read this ASAP!!!!

Oh my me!! This new series by Ms. Winters is just phenomenal!
The intricacies and nuances of the world that Ms. Willows is able to create is gritty, raw and real! There is also hope in this world. A hope of a love strong enough to create bravery and the strength to do what is needed, even at the expense of self and others.
The love and chemistry that Seth and Laura has is all encompassing. They know each other better than they know themselves at times. They are both from a harsh underworld of organized crime, they are both raised in this turmoil and I believe that makes them even closer.
Laura loves Seth with her whole soul. She wants better for them and yet she understands Seth's need to do what he does, and be the person that he needs to be. Laura has an inner strength that is incredible and real.
Seth is the young "king", he is learning and making a name for himself, but at what cost? He loves Laura and shows it the only way he knows how. But is it enough?
Oh Ms. Willows, leaving us with a helluva cliffhanger!! I love to hate it! I cannot wait for the next book in this series!
