Devious Resolutions: A Dark Anthology
Denver is a commercial fisherman who loves the sea and tends to keep to himself. Wanting to find a man he can explore all his dirty desires with, Denver is intrigued by Mills, a new crewman. As circumstances arise, a mutual attraction is evident and leads to sating certain predilections.
Going into this quickie, I wasn’t completely sure how the story would deviously spin and I was completely surprised by the twist. I liked Denver and his loner ways. And, Mills seems easy going offering a balance. Their time together is hot and comes with a rather poetic ending.
Bait is a dark and erotic MM novella that will capture the reader’s attention to the very last word.

This one was an unexpected little treat. I liked how the story was mild and unassuming throughout but ended with a bang. Props to the author who managed to write something complete and impactful on limited word counts.

To antologia darków MM.
Dałam radę dwóm i pół. Skończyłam GLAM - K. Webster oraz GOOD BOY - Jennifer Bene. Pokonało mnie MUSE - Ker Dukey.
2.5 nowelki i siedem trupów... Powiem tak, dawno nie czytałam tego typu rzeczy, ale nie przypuszczałam, że w telegraficznym skrócie jest to opis seksu nad zwłokami. Zdecydowanie nie moja bajka. Coś koszmanego. 😆

GOOD BOY by Jennifer Bene it’s definitely dark and the gang bang scenes very descriptive, yet there are a ton of proofreading mistakes. It’s a fun read, but it is definitely not a good example of how incredibly talented Bene truly is. 3 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️
CHAMPAGNE DREAMS by Zoe Blake. I’d never read anything by Ms. Blake, so I was eager to read something by her. I was immediately pulled into the short, innovative story. However, I was disappointed that it wasn’t proofread. There were sentences written in both past and present tense (“which means for all intents and purposes, I wanted Dalton.”), incorrect use of semicolons, comma rules omitted, etc.. Worst of all was the ending which was extremely anti-climactic, especially since the first 99% of the story had been so good. 3 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️
AT MIDNITE by Stevie J. Cole is fantastic story, especially impressive since it’s told in few words! I never, ever could have predicted where the story would have gone and was completely shocked! And there was literally only one typo which is insane compared to every other story in this anthology! 5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️
MUSE by Ker Dukey. Without a lot of time to build the characters or their stories, I didn’t feel as engaged or attached like I typically do with Dukey stories, however it was fun to read. Like the majority of the books in this anthology, I was disappointed to find so many typos in such a short story. There were several grammatical mistakes, a sentence that contained a missing word, a sentence that had an extra word and some sentences that just didn’t make sense (for example, “With shaking hands, she attempts to reach up for the blade. To understand what’s happening, but she’s growing weaker by the second.”) And if you have read every book published by Dukey like I have, you’ll also notice there are repetitions among them, for example:
“Du-dum.
Du-dum.
Du-dum.”
If you’re short on time or only want to read a few stories from this collection, skip MUSE. It is definitely not representative of how talented Dukey is. But if you have the time, go for it! I don’t regret reading it! 3 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️
CHEW TOY by Jason Hes is a well written story. However, after reading other stories by Hes, I know how innovative and off-the-wall bizarre he can get, and while we do get some glimpses of that, for me it was obvious that he was restricted in how far he could go in this short story. 4 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️
ABBERANT DESIRES by Emery Leeann was my favorite story, but it was also the one that needed to be proofread most. They were capitalized letters in the middle of a sentence, no commas before character names and more. For example, there was a scene where Leeann describes a, “three-inch pipe” that should have been a 3 FOOT pipe. However, there wasn’t one or two but 3 things I read about in this brief story that were so impressively dark and disturbing that I squealed out loud!!! I love when authors come up with something new in dark books, and Leeann is a master at that!!! 4.5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️💫
BAIT by Yolanda Olson is the perfect example of Olson’s writing! Sexy, twisted and disturbing… This book has it all packed into a brief number of words. Also typical of Yolanda, though, was the need for proofreading. There were incomplete sentences such as, ”I don’t know if everyone is safe, but until I see it for myself.”, sentences with missing words: “Depends on much we’ve pissed off Mother Nature,”, words in the wrong place/wrong words: “Mills cut me off by walking over to me, taking his hands in my face,” and more. The ending of this book, though.... DAMN!!!! It was a curveball I never saw coming!! A completely unpredictable ending that shocked the hell out of me!!!

GLAM by K. Webster. In this story, we get to meet GLAM, the celebrity we are briefly introduced to in MUSE. not only is this book twisted and disturbing but it’s sexy and unpredictable! And aside from not following the FANBOYS comma rule, this story was impeccably written. 5 STARS ⭐️⭐️⭐️ ⭐️⭐️

December 11, 2019So far I have read Bang Bang by Dani Rene and omg it was so good. Brilliantly written m/m story about two childhood friends Max and Kasen who have met each other again after many years apart. Fantastic read and I’m hoping there’s gonna be a lot more from these characters.

GOOD BOY by Jennifer Bene
While the whole gang-bang was hot, it was also more that demeaning. Sadly the gang-bang took up more than 80% of the story, it was the last 20% that got really interested!
MUSE by Ker Dukey
I liked the story, the dynamic between Hades and Lucien was extraordinary, but the ending just made me sad. It could have been the exception to the rule.
GLAM by K. Webster
Austin "GLAM" Mallari is one fucked-up sadist. Can I call this story humorous? Okay, maybe just a little. It was just pure wicked, and it did made me laugh. Do not overthink what is happening, the story is too short but very delicious!

In this short you have Denver who meets the new guy, Mills, who is now going out on the boat for the first time that Denver works on. On this trip things happen. There is a storm and the waves aren't the only thing beating on the boat. *steamy* but things aren't always as it seems and the storm takes a twist which leaves you all...no f**n way.

I read Hung by Ashleigh Giannoccaro and first words I said after reading it was DAMN THAT WAS HOT! Yeah people probably think I’m some weirdo but I don’t care lol! So this story is about Wesley and Scott and their complicated relationship. What would you do for the person you love? I would read the authors Cirque books to get more of a feeling to this story but you don’t have to at all. But they are both amazing as well and this little short story brought me back to that crazy, dark intense world I missed. Amazing dark, short read! 5/5 disco ball stars

Hung by A Giannoccaro
Hung is a short m/m story that’s based in the Cirque world and I was so happy to be back with these characters. I love the seedy, grubby feeling that somehow manages to be sexy that I always get from this series. The grittiness of the flawed characters draws me to them. There’s something about the Cirque and it’s characters that always leaves me wanting more and Hung was no different. I wasn’t expecting to love this as much as I did. It’s hot, the characters are messed up and I couldn’t get enough of this story. It may be short but it packs a punch and I loved it.

I’ve just finished Bait by Yolanda Olson. Denver and Mills... what can I say but things don’t turn out how you’ll expect it to. Long story short they are on a boat and they might not make it back. people do crazy things when they think their time is up. Definitely would love to read more about Mills he seems like he has more stories to tell. I’ll update this when I’ve read the other stories.

Review for Bait by Yolanda Olson
This is a story that makes you think one thing, then twists to something completely different. I was not expecting that, though really I should have. Denver and Mills start as strangers but quickly become intrigued by each other. I sincerely hope the ending means this was just the beginning. Delicious, dark, and so delightfully twisted.

Review for Chew Toy by Jason Hes
Jason is a fairly new author and he sure knows how to pack a punch and give you a full blown story, as a novella, that will leave you wanting so much more.
Chew Toy leads us on a dark, sick, twisted, and throughly enjoyable ride that see Sir seeking revenge for an atrocity inflicted on a loved one. This brings us to Domino who Sir stumbled upon and takes him under his wing. This could be either a good or bad decision for Domino. Only time will tell.
Fingers crossed that Jason extends on this story because I want more, so much more of Sir and Domino

The air is electric with sexuality and the anticipation buzzes as the boys of Hung come to life in the Cirque world.
The antics that the characters get up to will get your heart racing and your body humming from the risqué, dark and deburachy antics . Ashleigh gave the characters so much depth they come to life on the pages. Hell I want to go to Cirque and see the show.

Holy smokes! I just finished Bang Bang by Dani Rene and my jaw is still on the floor from what I’ve just read. Max and Karen’s story has you feeling as though you’re being handed bread crumbs, they will have you savoring every second and continuously hungry for more. We bare witness to a connection shared between two young men only to have it torn apart before our very eyes with little explanation. Years later there’s a second chance to change the outcome and it will have you turning both the pages and your mind continuously trying to figure out what happened to these men that lead them to their current life paths. Of course the Queen of tease leaves us with a HUGE cliffhanger! I have my fingers crossed that there’s more to come in the near future.

OMG we are back at the circus and I am thrilled to be back, I have missed this world.
Scott and Wes are performers at Sivan's Cirque and their complicated relationship is this wonderfully written story story. Its dark, twisted, hot and oh so good. It kept my attention from the first word and you will not be disappointed.

This can be read without reading Cirque 1 & 2 but read them anyway since you will know the back story and plus they are so freaking good!

What? How? Who? This author has a twisted mind that always leaves you with more questions than answers, and I want answers damn it!!!
While this is not her first rodeo in the dark side it is her first MM and a great effort at that.
Childhood best friends on the outside but on the inside Max & Kasen hold secrets abound that due to spending the last few years apart the other knows nothing about.
I seriously can't wait to see if there is an expansion on this dark little story cause I need more of these 2 hunks and answers!!!

This is my review of Hung by Ashleigh Giannoccaro: I would love for this to be a full length novel because I enjoyed it so much! It was so dang hot and dark and twisted. Scott & Wesley were absolutely delicious.....had my mouth watering

Mostly well written, and all new to me authors. All were dark, as advertised. When I first picked it up I didn't realize quite how dark. Some were too short to get lost in and a few were just okay. A couple were twistedly(What? I like making up words.) delicious.

Yolonda Olson- Bait- 5 stars!
Now that is how it’s done! I really enjoyed this story, fisherman... who would have thought! Yolonda is an excellent writer, I do enjoy her stories and I’m following her closely to see what is next!
Ker Dukey- Muse- 3 stars
I love this another her books always suck me in and I’m left with huge book hang overs I was really excited to find out she was in this anthology. Unfortunately this story didn’t compare to the others she had written in the past. I was disappointed, it could have been so much more...
Ashleigh giannocarro- Hung- 4 stars!
My god I floved Cirque! I was so excited to get a little bit more of that world in hung! I really enjoyed reading about Wesley and Scott!
Dani Renee- Bang Bang- 3.5 stars
I was read this author before and I was intrigued by the story she wrote for this. I love that she ended things on a cliffhanger, but I neither loved or hated this story. It was good, different, boring and lacking all at the same time if that makes sense. It was an average story. Will I read the rest of it when it comes out sure, will I be upset if I never get to it, no.

Very intriguing intro, I wish this was a full length novel, I would loved to hear about everything the blurb says. I really enjoyed glam and the ideas behind him, I have never read anything like him and wow what a way to make an MM anthology story unusual
Zoe Blake- Champagne Dreams- 3.5 stars.
This is my first time reading this author. Her story, wasn’t good but it wasn’t bad, I’m really on the fence about it. I couldn’t identify with her main character, although I did enjoy his motives, this was an eh kinda story for me.

My review for Chew Toy by Jason Hes
This is one twisted tale that will keep you hooked from start to finish. Sir is a scary man seeking revenge, Domino was either in the wrong place at the right time, you decide, and is taken under Sir's care. The book jumps several years and things have changed, Sir is still on his revenge mission and Domino is all grown up and is head over heels for Sir. This book is dark, twisted and contains some hot m/m sex scenes, brutal scenes and a scary scene that made me jump, along with some lol moments.

This is dark, messed up and HAF, set in the world that we love: Cirque, we meet two handsome guys Wes & Scott, Wes wants to be loved and Scott has needs & tastes that require a special performance and stomach. let the DISCO commence! Not for the faint hearted but if you love the dark side this one you will love. Ashleigh goes all in when she lets her wicked writing style loose.

Zoe Blake is a must read author, she loves to push limits and this one certainly does that. Vincent the main man needs money, lots of money and what better way than stealing from the rich desperate males of the upper class. But things don't always go to plan, but Vincent is always one step ahead, contains some very hot m/m action.

I went into this anthology knowing that this was going to be amazing. Some of the most amazing authors out there all coming together to stir things up in an unconventional way. I will be the first to say that my preference isn't normally MM, yet for these authors, I will make gladly dive in because they all are extremely talented and I know that they will take me on a journey.
There is a little something for everyone. There is some grit to these stories and definitely some darkness. Most of these authors were familiar to me with just a couple as being new to me. As an anthology lover, this is a great book to add to my ever-growing list. I will write a more specific review in the future (seeing as I advance review for many of these authors but didn't get them to review this time separately) once life goes back to normal after this crazy holiday season.

Hung by Ashleigh Giannoccaro. Another sick, dark and twisted tale from this author. This is the story of Scott and Wes. They are silk performers in Sivan's circus. This story is a short novella from the Cirque series. If you haven't read them please do. The series makes this story even juicier, sicker and more depraved. Scott and Wes are lovers but their special act makes their relationship that much better. The circus has come to town which is only for adults with it's own sexual flair. A short read that is just enough to give this sick and twisted reader her fix for the day. Definitely would like to visit the circus again. 5 sick stars for me. Looking forward to other stories in The Devious Resolutions Anthology.

This story starts at Christmas with Sir taking his revenge on Santa and meeting six year old Domino for the first time.Skip a head 7 years and Sir is just as terrifying but despite his fear and running away Domino loves him..Theres a power struggle,a misunderstanding,bloody kills and a drag queen bar owner..Oh Hunty you'll just love this story!!

Holy Shiz Sticks...This story is blood and domination from the start..Chaos and Langley are both killers yet it's Langley I hate..Emery writes a gor fest of spectacular kills and I loved every page of it.

My review is for Hung by Ashleigh Giannoccaro.
Let me start by saying HOLY SHIIIIT it was so awesome being back in the world of Cirque. This story is about Wesley and Scott and to sum it up their fucked up functioning relationship. As soon as the story starts it'll have you blushing like crazy and as it progresses it'll have you questioning your morals...like yeah ok i'd probably do bad things too if my lover was a hot circus performer LOL! It was a short story but it was hot and dramatic and dark and everything you've come to expect from Ashleigh. I honestly can not wait to see what the other authors have in store for us.
