She discovers a plot that threatens the world as she knows it as she's thrown into a world of magic and danger far beyond any simple pirates.
When Thorodd Stoneblood, her grandfather, is killed by a mysterious assassin, Hanna discovers that her own life is bound to a fate she couldn't have imagined. Faced with the understanding of an unknown past and a coven of power hungry witches who will stop at nothing to see her dead, Hanna struggles to overcome the adversities of a magical world she never knew existed. With the tide of danger rising around her and the driving need to uncover the truth, Hanna discovers that it won't be enough to be a warrior. In order to survive, she will have to become something more…
Can Hanna defeat her mysterious new enemy? Or will her legacy end in the same manner as the Stoneblood lines always do… in bloodshed

LOST WARRIOR

So now Hanna is sailing to the magical lands of the far southeast. All that stands between her and her father are pirates, treacherous seas, and mysterious mages bent on her destruction. Meanwhile Katla and Hester are struggling with their new found demon powers. Can Katla control her demon? Or will the demon control her.
Would have rated better but first and last chapters are actually repeats of from the Box set. The story of Hana Halfblood did not need the repeat of Sorens story. Her story which included many marvelous characters who were loyal to her. She loved her family and crew and when her grandfather is murdered, it is up to her and her crew to find the killer and get revenge. Hanna's story is excellent. Wish there had been more of it.
Enjoyed it beginning to end. Great introduction to characters with that nice realistic touch to most of the plot twists. Did want a bit more reasons why taz character acted so easily with his life switch. Good battle scenes , as per usual for author, and lots of them.
I enjoy your books immensely but you have to find a new editor. I've read enough of your books that I can insert the correct name in its place, but I don't think that every new reader would be able to substitute correctly. Just my opinion. Now what happened to Sharon?
Enjoyed reading about Hanna Halfblood and her friends of warriors and mages . Three books was just about right for this adventure , explaining where Hanna guys in with the Stonebloods .No doubt more to come from Hanna and her friends.
Got to know Hanna and her brother as characters in another series by this author. Please tell me you will be giving us more of the halfblood? Really enjoyed this trilogy. A really fun and enjoyable read.
From the first page, action prevailed. I had a difficult time laying the book down to rest. All who appreciate this type of fiction will thoroughly enjoy these three books.
I have not finished the books yet... but this is the fourth series I have read by this author. I obviously like his stories. They're good. This one is no exception. It's a good story. I'm a huge fan of the world that these novels are set in. I love the world-building and the cross-series details.
However, this series brought me to the breaking point of almost stopping.
I'm going to address this to the author directly: Robyn -- get yourself an editor. Your overall writing is solid. The story is decent. The characters are likeable and we cheer for the heroes... but you desperately need someone (or multiple someones) to proofread your writing. In this series: 1- a plot point is discovered by one character. The other protagonist is not present for this information, but discusses the discovered point with her compatriots in the next chapter. 2- The word is WIELD a weapon - not YIELD. They have very different meanings. (you make this same mistake in multiple books) 3- In one scene, the protagonist has an axe & shield. The next scene it is a sword & shield. Then back to an axe & shield. 4- You don't have to recap the history of the plot at every switch of the protagonist characters. It's OK to do that between books -- it's annoying within the same book. 5- There are other word-choice mistakes, scattered throughout, not just a bad choice, but a word used with a very different meaning from the intention. (this is even more egregious in the Dragonblood series) 6- There are other continuity issues that a proofreader/editor should catch. 7- The two protagonists are quick to recount ALL details of the previous plot with way too many people. It's unrealistic. Also, in a society with a predilection against trusting magic users, the Stoneblood protagonist is way too quick to share the fact that she's developed strong magic powers. What's the point of establishing the anti-magic leanings (and repeating it several times) if you then ignore it whenever the protagonist is involved?
