I was wrong. Having read it, I can now say that this book is one of my favourites of the series, second only to the first book.
As whimsical and terrible and beautiful as the goblin market was, what struck me the most was how relatable Lundy's experience of being torn between two worlds was. Yes, one of her worlds was impossibly magical, but that feeling of being pulled in two directions, and wanting it all? That's so incredibly human and it was beautifully captured in this book....more
