Thank you Noel Cades for the opportunity to read your book. This was a fantastic read. I really loved her student-teacher romance books. I was very impressed with her first regency romance. I really was impressed with the story, and the characters. I thought that Lily was brave for taking her cousin's place in an arranged marriage. I thought the Marquess of Westford was an interesting character. I really liked his character. I thought there romance was beautiful. I really liked the ending as well. I can't wait to Falling from Grace. Overall, an amazing read.

This was an enjoyable read. I really liked this book more than the first two books. The story had some action-packed moments, but also some moments where I wonder what will happen in the story. It was fun and engaging. The characters were well developed. I enjoyed them all and they all had their individual standout characteristics. The ending was full of twists and I really loved it. I cannot wait to read more Dionne Lister books in the future. I am a fan of hers. I cannot wait. Overall, a great read.

Thank you Sean Gibson for giving me the opportunity to read your book. This was a unique read. The writing was excellent. It was that of a classic novel. I find books that have this quality rare and I think Sean Gibson did a great job of how he wrote his story.
The story is telling the readers the history of Arthur and Excalibur. I liked learning more about Arthur from this book. The story also follows Alfred story and how he wants to save his wife. Though I enjoyed the writing, the purpose of the scabbard confused me, so therefore the rating went down. The ending was sad, yet hopeful. I am now a fan of Sean Gibson. Can't wait for more books in the future.

Thank you, Sophia Florenza, for the opportunity to read your book. This was an alright read. This is the first book of the Legends Chronicles Reverse Harem series. In this book, we meet our heroine, Amalthea “Thea” Woods. She believed that she was a poor girl, who lived in a trailer park wanting to leave her life in Arizona. Then, she gets the opportunity she has been looking for when she goes to King Haggard University, and finds out that she is a Unicorn shifter, and meets her three potential mates: Lir (a Hero legend), Drake (a Wizard legend), and Jack (a elfen prince). I thought the story was good. However, there were grammar mistakes, and I wished the chapters could have been shorter. I did like that I got to see into the minds of Thea, Lir, Drake, and Jack. I just think their POVs could have been separate chapters and a bit longer. I thought the ending was interesting. I wonder if the author will complete this series or not. I think it has potential to be a great/amazing series. I hope I can continue the journey with the next book and the author. Overall, an okay read....more

Thank you, Penguin Random House for the opportunity to read this sampler via Netgalley. This was an alright read. I actually thought that it was a good way to see some of the books that I missed in the Fall of 2015. I think it gave a good introduction into each story, and it was a way to see which books I would add to my TBR list. I cannot wait to see what the other samplers from Penguin Random House has to offer. Overall, an okay read. ...more

Thank you, Crystal S. Chan for the opportunity to read your book. This was an enjoyable read. This is a part of the Manga Classics series. In this book, Hester Prynne had a few month old baby while being away from her husband for 2 years. As a result, she has been publicly shamed and has to wear a Scarlet letter “A” for Adulterous on her body. I thought this story was great. I did not read the original “Scarlet Letter,” but I thought the manga did a great job of illustrating the story, and I thought the illustrations were great as well. I thought Hester was a great character. I thought her character could have expressed what she was feeling more, but I found her character to be brave. I did not like the priest. He made it obvious that there is something wrong by putting his hand on his heart. I thought the ending was nice. I hope that I get to read more Manga Classic stories. Overall, a great read....more

I enjoyed it very much. The characters are not completely thought out. I found that very annoying. Rayla is a bit of a paranoid character, even about the darkness and someone following her from the Other World.
Cassie is Rayla's best friend. They are always arguing. However, I know that best friends act like like this, and it was funny to see. I love Luke, and I think he is a perfect guy for Rayla. Can't wait to read the other books. I loved learning about the Fae. Overall, an okay read....more

Thank you, Elizabeth F. Caldwell for the opportunity to read your book. This was an incredible read. In this devotional, we spend time reading a passage in the Book of Psalms during each day of Lent and Holy Week. However, I read this book after Lent, and it gave me more insight in how to approach the next Lent season. I am glad that I got to reflect, and recounter God’s Word and just pause in his presence. It gave me lessons and tools that can help my relationship with God. I cannot wait to read more Elizabeth F. Caldwell books. Pause gives Christians hope to experience Lent in a simple but profound way. I am glad that I was able to read this book. Overall, an amazing read....more

This was an alright read. I thought the story was okay, but it definitely could have been better. For me, the book was boring because there were many parts I thought were boring. Also, Penelope was an okay character. I found her character awkward, and quirky, I just wished I had a stronger connection with her character, but sadly I just thought that she was okay. I thought the other characters were also a bit flat. I thought the ending was good. I cannot wait to read more Rebecca Harrington books. I think she has a lot of potential. This was an enjoyable read. This is the fourth book in the How to Date series. In this book, we meet Monroe and Juliet. They cohost a relationship podcast, and had a summer fling 8 years ago. Juliet happens to be Monroe’s best friend’s little sister. She wants to find the one and asks Monroe to be her dating coach. During the process, their attraction and suppressed feelings for the last 8 years begin to come forward and make for an interesting story. The story is great. I really liked that it was a second chance, friends to lovers romance with a bit of a forbidden romance as well, because Juliet is his best friend’s little sister. The characters were awesome. I really liked Monroe and Juliet. I thought their banter was great. It kept me engaged. Juliet is 30 years old, and has been harboring her feelings for Monroe for 8 years. I thought she was witty, and smart. Monroe is 35 years old. He is divorced, but very protective and jealous over the thought of other guys dating Juliet. He feels like she belongs to him and no one else. I thought he was sexy and protective. I am curious how some of the other books in the series will turn out. I will check them out for next month. This was an enjoyable read. This is Lily Chu’s third book that I read and I really liked it. In this book, we meet Dee Kwan, our female lead, who is a people pleaser. She works as a consultant and was tasked to resolve a scandal within the fashion company, Celeste. This book was great. I thought Dee was a great character. In the beginning, I thought her personality was a bit boring, but then she transformed as the story progressed. Gone was the people pleaser, and here arrived a more confident Dee. A person who knows her true worth and that was special to read/listen to. Philippa Soo did a fantastic job narrating this story. I thought Teddy was another great character. I thought that they had real chemistry and it really showed through. I am not wait to read more books by Lily Chu. She writes her stories with lessons that can inspire us. In this book, she tackled misogyny at work, racism at work, and toxic positivity (people pleasing). I cannot wait to read her next book. Overall, a great read. ...more

Thank you, Hayson Manning, for the opportunity to read your book. This was an alright read. The title of the book I have is called “Two Weeks to Surrender,” and the name of the hero’s name is changed to Trace. However, the premise is the same. In this book, Savannah is ready to move on with her life. Then the man who left her eight years ago, Trace, comes into her diner and storms back into her life. For two weeks, Trace and Savannah live together as requested by Trace, and thus begins their relationship again. I thought the story was okay. It seemed like your typical good girl/bad boy story. I thought the characters were okay as well. I didn’t really have that much of a connection to them. I did find their romance cute. Also, I thought the ending was good. I thought that was best part of the book. I cannot wait to read other books by Hayson Manning. I think she has great potential as an author that I would like to read in the future. Overall, an okay read.

This was an enjoyable read. This is my second book to involve my favourite music genre: K-pop!! In this book, our heroine, Ariadne Hui is a workaholic lawyer who loves sticking to routine. She is working hard to become partner at her law firm. However, one day coming home from work, she sees a gorgeous man in her place and pulls a knife on him, only to find out he is her roommate’s cousin and famous K-pop star, Choi Jihoon, who is visiting from Seoul to mend his broken heart. As time goes by, Choi Jihoon becomes a friend and later on a love interest for Ari. I thought the story was great. It was entertaining and intriguing. I loved how the story involves romance and K-pop. I thought the narrator, Phillipa Soo was great and told the story in an engaging manner. I really liked the characters. Ariadne was smart and focused, but I thought she was very relatable because she wants to succeed in life. I thought Choi Jihoon was sexy, chaotic and charming. He is part of a K-pop boy band, and whenever I read his character, I thought about my bias from BTS: Jin!! Anyways, before this becomes a K-pop fanfest I will just say this. I loved their romance and also I loved how the story was written. I just thought the ending could have been better. This was an enjoyable read. This is the third book in the Winslow Brothers series. In this book, we focus on Ty Winslow, an English lit professor, and his relationship with his TA, Rachel Rose. I thought this was a great addition to the student-teacher relationship stories that I have read. I thought the concept of their relationship starting out as a game and then becoming a romantic relationship was great. I thought Rachel was a great heroine. She was witty, smart, and beautiful. I think she was a relatable character. I thought Ty Winslow was another great character. He was smart, sexy, and confident. I thought he was funny and made the classroom lecture scenes very intriguing. I am glad that we got to see the family dynamic between the Winslow brothers, their significant others, their mother and their sister and her family. I am glad that I got a chance to read this book. Looking forward to reading the other books in the series. Overall, a great read....more
