We are intorduced with Blaire, a girl who lost everything. She lost her mom and sister and she has to move in with her dad that she barely knew cause he left them.
This book is such a roller coaster of emotions. But mostly it was all about the pain and the agony. Blaire's life is so sad. She experienced a lot of pain for such an early age. She's been through a lot, I can't imagine a life she had. Just when she thought she is happy. Everything was taken away from her. I can't... I just can't I feel so sad while reading the book it is so depressing...
The plot of the book, is nothing that I've read before. It has this twist at the end that I have never expected. I was supposed to be surprised. But I wasn't, it just added up the pain that I have experienced while reading it. The Romance aspect of the book is so intense! The love scenes here made it intensified due to such raw emotions in the book.
Rush's character, is really dark and creepy. I was expecting a very swoon worthy character, but he just gave me the creeps. Just Look at his dialogues :
"are you sore?" "I'm Fine" "Do you feel stretched? Can you tell I've been inside you" "good. I like knowing you can feel where I've been,"
"Mine. This is Mine." "Mine. This sweet pussy is mine, Blaire." "Tell me it's mine"
I thought he is just disturbed, and he has a mental condition, that's why he is acting like that, But NO! I am kinda disturbed with his actions and dialogues. He is way way too pervy for me. I know he likes Blaire. But this... This is too much.
The ending is like a slap in the face... It is so freaking SAD! Why did it have to end like that. HUHUHUHUHUHHU!!! I can't. The emotional turmoil is getting in to me... Please let the other books be happy and let Blaire have her happy ending. HUHUHU...
I highly recommend this book to everyone who's in to romance and chick lit. It is that good. This is my second favorite belonging to the Romance Genr
I highly recommend this book to everyone who's in to romance and chick lit. It is that good. This is my second favorite belonging to the Romance Genre. Anna and the French Kiss is still Queen though. :)
We are introduced with the main character whose name is Drew Evans. The book is narrated by him. He is this douchebag, womanizer ,egotistical, self absurd and likes to have sex all the time kind of guy. But reading this man's thought is such a joy. I was laughing all the time with his dialogues and thoughts. He is so damn funny, I want more of him in every single page. His metaphorical views and comparison to things are simply informative, and made you empathize with him. I cannot believe that this is written by Emma Chase? seriously? She delivered this narration in such a very flawless way coming from a Point of view of a guy, considering she is a woman?
The love story build up is so fresh and dynamic for a thin paged book it was so descriptive and narrative that made me feel so satisfied from beginning to finish. for a smutty book I did not expect it to be this light and made you experience falling in love and have butterflies in your stomach. It was soooo good. I always compare reading a good romance book as eating a chocolate, well in this one it is like eating your most sinful comfort food and you don't hold anything back. you just eat eat and eat... ( Oh Drew, Drew, Look what you've done to me)
This is such a feel good book, Just don't mind the smutty scenes. This book is such a joy. That I want all the characters to have their own book From "The Bitch" up to Mackenzie. Yeah! That Good. If this book is a person. I will marry it. T'was my favorite read this 2014. I will definitely give the other Three books a go!
I wasn't a big fan of the last book, but this one seems to be far better than the first, I never realized how full of humor , quirky and cute this booI wasn't a big fan of the last book, but this one seems to be far better than the first, I never realized how full of humor , quirky and cute this book is... I thought I have heard every internet slang there is but never have I encountered the word TWITTERCIDE! oh my! the main reason I've grabbed and read this book is because of the interesting summary and it mentioned the word twittercide? HAH! and I just really adore Hartly... reading her thoughts just made me laugh up until the last page of the book!! Yeah! that's how adorable she is.!
I wonder what would be the next book like, I hope it will be more excititng than this one, and I am looking for the blossoming Romance between Chase and Hartley... YAY! seems like I've found a replacement for Hex Hall , I know they have the different genre but it seems like Deadly cool contains the fun and quirkiness present in Hex Hall. :) ...more
I am not the biggest fan of the first book,Unerathly. just gave the first book a 3 star rating, cause I didn'tOriginally posted on The YA Bookworm
I am not the biggest fan of the first book,Unerathly. just gave the first book a 3 star rating, cause I didn't exactly enjoyed it as much as the others, and i was not planning to read this one, besides from the fact that netgalley denied my request to read an advance copy of the book, (yeah, I was so sad that they denied my request) haha! I guess the first book didn't give me enough excitement to read this one. But since I am out of books to read I decided to go for this one.
what to say? what to say?
I say that this one is a big improvement, we all know that Clara has an unknown purpose right? I mean her purpose is not certain on what it is about, well in this book this kinda somehow answered that question, and I was really pleased on how this book was written , I mean I really feel like every sentence and words spoken by the chracters are really hmmm.. Magical? woah! i really don't know how to describe the words used in this book but it has somehow gave me this feeling that I am living in world full of magic and wonders.
I like how the secrets were unraveled in this book, OMG! it's like Cynthia Hand just gave me a poundful of chocolate and shove it right in my mouth! oh yes! that's how good this book is, and I guess I appreciate the characters in this book, lots of new and intriguing additional characters were introduced here.
as for the romance part. HELL i don't care to which boy Clara will end up with! both guys are really HOT and worth of Clara's heart! KYAAA! and besides i am not after the romance in this book, I am after the angel stuff and unraveling more mysteries on who Clara is and what is her real purpose.
OH my! reading this one is such a remarkable experience. looking forward for the next book and I know It'll be a thousand times better than this one. :D ...more
This would have to be my first Love Story Book I have read for 2012. This one kinda disappoint me, caBook Review Originally posted @ The YA Bookworm
This would have to be my first Love Story Book I have read for 2012. This one kinda disappoint me, cause I was actually expecting this book to really answer the Question that's been intriguing me like
"can Love at first sight actually does exists?"
turns out the book didn't even give me even a slightest hint if such thing/phenomenon does exist.
the book is like Anna and the French Kiss, I mean the story line has the same flow, so I was expecting that It'll be as good as the book, but as it turns out, it was great in the first couple of pages, really gives me this giddy factor, but as I read on it turns out that the book is like really too good to be true, like the events stated in the book is not really possible to happen in real life, I know this is a fiction book, but some books that I've read at least contain a bit of realism to them, but this one is just, well. Too impossible to occur in any Human living on this planet.
I gave it 3 stars cause the first couple of pages is good, and there was a sense of unpredictability in the plot, but as everything goes on, everything just gets crappy and I didn't like it.
after reading this my judgement of the probability of love at first sight would probably be like Zero to none percent that it would happen in real life. meh. :|...more
WOW! I really can't believe I have read the 10th book of the PLL series, as all of you have known I am not a huge fan Also Posted @ The YA Bookworm
WOW! I really can't believe I have read the 10th book of the PLL series, as all of you have known I am not a huge fan of the Previous book, (twisted) i just feel that the 4 girls of Rosewood is as annoying as will ever be. But yeah, I really can't resist reading PLL cause it is one of my fave mystery/chick lit book, i just wish that Sara Shepard just ended the series @ Heartless *Sighs*
anyways. what to say about the book, I would really like to point out that it is really nice that Ezra Fitz was back in this book, besides from I love the chemistry between Ian Harding and Lucy Hale in the TV series, I happen to like them first on the book, so I was I really thrilled that Aria X Ezra is back. But if you have read some book of the PLL series this one still contains the same element like having bitch fights , non-stop hook ups and of course the never oh-so undead A is still lingering in this book, (Sheesh she is so darn indestructible!) but I have to say that this one is better than the first cause I guess some characters have really grown up, but they still have the inner Ruthlessness to themselves, I mean these girls will just do about ANYTHING just to get away their misbehavior.
In a way I did enjoy reading this one, although it took me like 4 days to finish it, i still like the mystery in the book I really don't know who A is now, GOSH! i really have to come up with my own theory sooner or later. >:) I'm still looking forward for the next books to come. :D
wew! my first book review after a very very long time. tehee..
I really love Hex Hall y'all know that right? i mean it's really rare for me to like a wew! my first book review after a very very long time. tehee..
I really love Hex Hall y'all know that right? i mean it's really rare for me to like a heroine in the book, and Sophie is just the ideal main heroine for me and the two past books (Hex Hall and Demonglass) really pleased me. I promise you the two books were both light and humorous yet it is gripping.
but as for this 3rd book, i was actually looking forward for it. cause for those of you that have read the second book, the ending didn't actually make me satisfied cause as for me it is like the mother of all cliff hangers, i was formulating theories of my own on what would this book be like, and I was waiting, waiting. and time seem to run so fast in my life cause my busy activities at school and VIOLA! the book was out! and i was really really happy that i get to read this one. but that happiness was cut short cause the book didn't lived up to my expectations on this book, cause i think the whole book has gotten... hmmm. DARK? well Hex Hall series is known for its light and humorous content and I was just left unsatisfied in this series. of course the Ms.Mercer's snarkiness is still there but other than that the humor was just left with sophie's remarks.
i guess I was just sad that someone has to die, and that someone happens to be the most kind hearted person in the book, it was just sad. I was left with the idea that Cal has to die so that there won't be a love triangle in the book, and so that sophie won't get to choose.
but anyways i still love the series this third book just didn't do much for me to like it. if there is going to be a 4th book I'll sure read it. ...more
