The organization of this book is cool, especially the chapter titles. Definitely makes books about books I love the narrator just like everyone else.
The organization of this book is cool, especially the chapter titles. Definitely makes books about books extra special. The start of the book has some humor about writers which was funny to me.
This story introduced a new main character, Anna. Interesting to know Anna. She's a survivor. Sometimes she was caught in bad situations, but she able to survive it.
It's good to read the previous book to understand the mystery unraveling in this book.
I enjoyed the story within the story. The story of Anna, I enjoyed part 3 more than other parts. Anna has a mystery unraveling of her own and it connects to the previous book. It caught up with her in this book because she became an author. After her book was published, she began traveling to promote her book and some people recognized her.. snippets of her past showed up to catch her attention and she began to investigate. As she investigated, she felt horror and ready to do just about anything to protect herself and her past.
This duology is definitely interesting and the organization of the stories are unique.

Great audiobook! The narrator pulled me into the story. The story was good. I enjoyed the letters written to ask for advice including those from Lost Great audiobook! The narrator pulled me into the story. The story was good. I enjoyed the letters written to ask for advice including those from Lost Girl, which she made up for the alternating POV. Alex's story was okay, I'm not sure why she play detective in searching for the killer of the unsolved columnist's death. Alex should have more than one suspect to search for clues. Especially when she seems like she had something to hide, she couldn't ignore that someone was out to get her, but instead she focused on finding the dead columnist's killer instead. That gun shot rang out and I don't know what happened to "her". It's up to readers conclusions and I hope for leniency because she was as much a victim of his manipulation.
The story started with an advice columnist. Her sudden death. Still unsolved. Almost a year later, readers met Alex. She's living under the radar. Working from home. Having secrets. Not in contact with anyone who knows her. Then the advice column is in need to hire a new replacement. Alex decided to give a try and got offered the job!
Alex decided to celebrate but a guy at the bar harassed her and readers just found out one of her secrets. Unfortunately, that secret doesn't get revealed until the end of the book.

The story was interesting. It's good to see social media presented with both sides because most of the time I'm on one side. The story was told in the present and back to the past through a recollection and then a tell all in the end. There were twists and lots of secrets. I enjoyed each couple's secrets. I'm a bit disappointed that there's no view of the bad guy. This is my first read from the author and it won't be my last.
This story revolved about The Family Experiment, a tv show that is livestream 24/7 with contestants and it's located in the virtual reality. Each contestant has a second chance at parenting to win money to start a real life family. The baby grows up quick in the metaverse. But each couple has a different approach to taking care of their baby. In the real world, each contestant has a secret of their own. Then there's one contestant who tells a story behind the scenes, one he experienced when at first he didn't understand what was happening until a reveal at the end.

Excellent audiobook. This story is what I have been wanting to read. It makes us think about the choices we make in life and if we are happy with the decisions we made for ourselves. If not happy, would we want to trade our current life with another you in the parallel universe? It might turns out that our current life is better.
This book followed Jason. He's a physicist professor. He's very smart and could do great things but his girlfriend announced that she was pregnant 14 years ago while they were dating and he made a decision to build a family with her. When that decision was made, he had to get a safe job with a steady paycheck. Sometimes he might think that in another life where he chose not to stay with his girlfriend and build a family but instead continue his education and research that his life could be more successful. Well, he got what he wished for even when he didn't consciously asked for it. One night he was kidnapped off the street at gun point and was sent into another world where people recognize him but he recognized no one. Until later they learned that he was not the him they thought he was then his life was in danger. He had to figure out how to work the machine the him from another world built so that he can go back home to his family and save himself from this new world he was forced into.

This story followed Weatherly. She can talk to death so that death can leave someone's body and go into hers. But her body doesn't have cancer or any sickness so she vomit death out. She has saved many lives. Some neighbors called her blessed while others don't think kindly of her. She doesn't have a good childhood. Her mom left her to be raised by her grandma and she doesn't know her dad.
Weatherly publicly had a disagreement with this man and then his son ended up dead where she couldn't rescue him then he ended up dead where it seems to point to her as being the killer. Her cousin and best friend was dead at the start that caused her disagreement with that man but being powerful that he was in town the police refused to investigate so she took matters into her own hands. After all, she also needs to prove that she didn't kill that man.
There were good twists with a tragic love story behind it all.

This book has two reveals so that was good. I also liked young cops being smart and I liked how she handled the dirty FBI! I always go into the story blind and this story was a great listen! I enjoyed many point of views even the bad guys. I liked how smart and quick thinking Michael the accountant was.
There are 4-6 point of views. Poppy is the police investigating into the car that was just recovered from under the water with two dead man in it. Ryan is the guy with the missing gf from 5 years ago. He thinks the monster has found him. The monster he thought took his gf. This accountant guy Michael who does accounting for bad guys. This bad guy, Shane, who handles tough jobs includes killing.. with a son being bullied at school. The car that was recovered from the water belongs to Ryan's gf but her body wasn't in the car. It had her purse with the coded message and the title of this book! Once the coded message was solved, understanding became clearer. There are two other views later on.

Well this story was so good and suspenseful. Two stories going hand in hand and there's the mini cliffhangers at the end of every chapter. It was a hard wait to finish one chapter in order to continue with the story in the next chapter for each case. Both cases were weaving in and out of each other. When the twist came, it was so good and unexpected. I also loved the twist at the end and definitely didn't see that coming either.
This is my second read from the author and I loved both stories.
In this story, there were two cases.. one is of Ruth. An intruder came to the house and stabbed her but left her alive. There's already an active investigation out for that person because two dead women with the same style of attack. The other case is of Amanda. Her young daughter was kidnapped while out with her dad and killed later. Her husband couldn't deal and left her too. Her grief was beyond anything. The police couldn't catch the bad guy so she took matters into her own hands. But plans and actions don't go accordingly and unexpected twists occurred.
I enjoyed the different views.. one of Ruth, one of Amanda, one of the Detective, and one of Scott. Each character was interesting.

This story was full of twists. At first it was just Molly dealing with her own nightmare but later it turns into a murder investigation. Many events I didn't see coming.
This story followed Molly Monroe. She has been under the bender with a few too many drinks lately because she has been coping with her mom being gone and the situation with her dad. One night, a work event, she took advantage of free drinks. She woke up with a stranger in her bed and couldn't remember anything. He was a decent guy and nothing happened but he has a secret for his presence. When Molly arrived at work, her boss showed her a video trending on social media and it was of her doing something indecency in public. The humiliation was awful. Then the next day, she found her best friend dead. Police didn't investigate so she took matters into her own hands. Molly discovered her best friend's secrets and other neighbors' secrets. She eventually used her social presence to tell her story even though her social presence was from humiliation but it worked to her advantage.

During the trip someone was murdered so the main character was investigating on who the killer was.. readers are encouraged to join in. The narrator read this book but sounds like having a conversation with readers. Normally one point of view bored me but this one didn't.
The story is of the author, Eleanor, 35. She had an awesome experience abroad in her 20s and decided to write a book about it. She changed everyone's names except the guy she was swooned by. The book became an unexpected success. She was excited and told the guy but instead of being excited for her, he chose something else and it made her mad... but because her story was a success, she made it into a series of 9 books. Now she wanted to kill him in her 10th book! She has been thinking about it but then, the guy came to her asking for her help because he believed his life is in danger!

This story followed Bel. She's the daughter of Rachel Price who disappeared without a trace. It's been 16 years and she and her dad have lived through the media attention. Her dad needed money to care for his ailing father so he decided to let the camera crew do a documentary on the disappearance of Bel's mom. Despite the title, I'm still surprised when it happened. Bel went on an investigation adventure of her own when she noticed something wasn't right. She had one of the camera crew followed her around. It was looking to be one heck of a documentary until Bel stumbled upon the missing link.

This sequel was full of drama. The story has activities of each of the royal family members and the media's opinions. Both happenings were good and escalating. Book 1, the King's illegitimate daughter was accused of murder. This book, the illegitimate daughter Evangeline aka Evan aka Evie was constantly on the spotlight of the media. She was injured and later accused of trying to murder someone by working with Guy Fawkes. I like the mention of Guy Fawkes in this book because I heard of his name from James Ponti's City Spies series.
Evan was not a Nancy Drew. She accused someone of doing bad things throughout the story without any shred of evidence. Only towards the end of the book that she tried to do something for information. The ending left a cliffhanger for book 3. Evan is about to do something reckless.
It's crazy to see wicked attitudes from the Queen. I thought royal people would be kind. I'm constantly amazed by people's different personalities in books!

Excellent story! Great audiobook! This story hooked me from start to finish. I stayed up past my bedtime to finish the story because I wanted the ending. Lucy, the main character has some sort of dry humor that I liked. Her personality is different and the suspense was good. Her parents, husband, boyfriend, friends are unexpected type of people. The clean cut people who do bad things you don't expect.
The story followed Lucy who is being accused of murder. The alternative view is the podcast covering the investigation into the murder. Lucy has the tendency to want to kill people in front of her. She constantly has this battle in her mind, sometimes with the dead girl. The murder happened years ago and it was unsolved because Lucy had no memory of the murder. She left home for years to escape the scrutiny of small town but now she's home for her grandma's birthday and the podcast guy is also there and have been wanting to interview Lucy for her side of the story.. she never gave an interview until now..

A murder happened and Elliott is telling readers his account of events.
The story started with everyone at the island. Things happened and the story rewind back to how the plan for the trip to the island happened. Back at the island and someone just got shot. Then back to the beginning to learn who Elliott was. Then back to the scene of the murder..
I can't remember if I have read a book in a storytelling style before. It took me awhile to get into it. I thought at 50% but realized when the story ended that this story was just not for me at all. I didn't enjoy it. Elliott annoyed me.
Elliott doesn't have a job. He does his "service" when he stays at this older woman's house and then found a new woman he likes and was hoping to ask her to marry him so that he could move out and she could take care of him.. what kind of man is that..

Short stories is not my favorite kind of reads because it ends too soon and it's hard to start a new story when I'm still lingering on the old one. BuShort stories is not my favorite kind of reads because it ends too soon and it's hard to start a new story when I'm still lingering on the old one. But it's good I tried and know my preference.
This is my first read from the series and this book happened to be a novella, a book with 3 stories.
The first story was interesting. It was about this police who was investigating a murder of the man who was shot. The dead man was her father but what surprised her was that she thought he died years ago. There were some unexpected twists. To catch the killer, however, it wasn't a shock because the police already have her eyes on someone.
The second story was good too. This police is having love issues. He was sent to investigate the serial killer, but he wanted to catch a bandit. He thought it might be involved with his friend. He went to the party to catch up with old friends but felt uneasy because he admired his friend a lot and he doesn't want to prove that he's the bad guy. Again, this story didn't shock much because the main character already has a person in mind.
The third story didn't grab my attention much. The rich guy had his wife followed because of a possibility of an affair. It turned into having a federal agent tailing her and something to do with embezzlement.

Good audiobook. I like that there were two narrators. The cool thing was that the female do laugh when the part of the story called for laughter. Her voice sounds nice. This book is thick and the audiobook was more than 11 hours but I flew through. The story didn't feel lengthy.
This is my first super spicy audiobook. I haven't read or listen to explicit MM relationship before. It feels like love at first sight for two different characters and enemies to lover trope for the others. This is book 5 and I haven't read the previous four books so I'm just assuming the others are love at first sight but they might've met before. I saw a lot of rave for this author on instagram and I have this book so I just jumped in. Will have to catch up from the beginning later.
This story followed Aphrodite. She broke her heart and her boyfriend's heart to marry herself to an enemy who recently obtained the title of one of the Thirteen. Little did she know, she started out being in control of everything but her path took her to an ending she didn't see coming. The second view was Theseus. He hated a lot and he has many reasons to hate. Good thing love found him when he's not expecting. The third view was Pandora. She wanted to protect her best friend Theseus but she couldn't help who she fell for when the person she tried to resist was his wife. The fourth view was Adonis. Adonis sounds like a nice person. I want to read the previous books to get to know him better.
Besides love, there's the attempted murder on their lives to keep them alert.

I can always rely on humor in this series. This book is number 30 in a series! Sadly I have only read book 28 and book 30. I have seen the movie and I think it's based on book 1. I planned to one day I will go back to read this series from the beginning. Despite being a long series, I like that I can read each book as a standalone even though I'm sure reading the series from beginning to end would be a lot better because I would get to see Stephanie Plum change over time.
The end of this audiobook is cool because the author shared a quote from each of the book readers loved.
In this book, Stephanie Plum, once again, a bail bondsman so her job is to find bad guys. In this book, she was to find this one guy but he threatened to jump because he didn't want to go to jail. Then he accidentally fall and ended up in the hospital. He was badly injured so she cut him some slack and didn't cuff him right away. When she came back for him the next day, he was gone, either helped or kidnapped. Someone else came to her service asking her to find another guy because he might have stolen a lot of jewelries from him. Stephanie knew the guy because she went to school with him before. After investigating, she calculated that the two bad guys might be working together and their crimes might be connected.
In between chasing bad guys, Stephanie has a fun time with Lula, her coworker and friend, Bob the dog which belongs to her boyfriend who is out of town and fighting off her attraction for Ranger who's constant flirting was not helping when her boyfriend is out of town.
There were some twists and turns I didn't see coming. A lot going on packed in one book!
