I just don't like it when the heroine is almost forty and I also don't like it when the heroine is older than the hero. I clearly have issues, but that's just me. The story is great, though. I think it's better than most of its predecessors. And the hero was super, duper funny. I loved his personality. He's a combination of the typical bad guy who curses and stuff, but he also has good manners. It's like a bad guy and gentleman fusion. Plus he's funny as hell. So, yeah. Definitely one of my favorites from the series. Again, this one is not for the young adults out there because it's a little bit heavy on the love stuff....more

The heroine of this book (Daisy), kinda reminds me of Cassie and while Devin is a sheriff, David still reminded me of him. And while at first, I was kind of appalled that the author made a book for David after what he did to Janey (read second book for reference), I eventually warmed up to him after getting to know him throughout the book. I am happy that he redeemed himself in this book by saving Janey and Joe's baby from a surprise and very dangerous delivery. I've also read this book over a year ago, but it's still fresh on my mind because just like Jill Shalvis' books, I do re-read the books from this series as well. I do not recommend this book to a younger audience though, because they are a little heavy on the sexy side. :-)...more

I made a review a minute ago, and then my Internet connection suddenly got lost and now it (my review) is all gone. Sigh. I hate it when that happens. Sigh. *searching for patience* As I was saying a while ago, I think that this group will be the final installments of the Lucky Harbor series. Which is very sad, because I really, really, REALLY love it. Anyway, like all of it's predecessors, I also loved and enjoyed reading this book. I both love the heroine and hero's personalities. Well, I guess it doesn't take much to make me happy these days. Give me one funny, cute heroine and a handsome, alpha hero and I'm likely to love you for the rest of my life. Seriously. But yeah, funny + romantic = an awesome book (in my opinion). Let's not forget that Jill Shalvis's writing is also very good! So, definitely check out this book and the rest of the Lucky Harbor series if you want to read some feel-good books!...more

I don't know how many times I've already read the past three books from the series, but I'm guessing that it's pretty much over twenty. I'm not even kidding. Albeit, I don't read the entire book again from start to finish, her books are still my go-to reads every time I want something to lighten up my mood. Unfortunately, Katie and Griffin's book did not leave a mark to me that makes me wanna read it over and over again. I don't know. I liked it, of course. It contains the author's trademark humor and good writing, but it won't be the Jill Shalvis book that I'm going to recommend to someone who will ask what work of hers I liked best. Giving it another go, though. Maybe I just can't really recall clearly what I have read more than a year ago....more

Although, I gotta admit, I also love good natured and funny alphas like Jack. But I guess, there's only one good natured alpha who already snagged my heart: Ford (The Sweetest Thing) I loved Aubrey and Ben's story. I actually teared up (or sobbed) when Ben got mad at Aubrey in the final parts of the book. This book brought up so much feels from me. Lol. I keep on re-reading it, btw. That's how I loved it. I am wholly serious when I tell you that I love/d this book (and the entire series). A must read!!!...more

I seriously missed you and the Goodreads community! *inhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaale* *exhale* Well, I will actually be reviewing a lot books today, most of them I read waaaaay back in January 2014 right after I stopped using Goodreads, and some of the books that I just read this year for my 2015 book challenge. One of the books that I've read last March 2014 was this book. I loved it. I love the quotes written here. I love the humor. I love the effort put into this book. If you need a little pick-me-up after a long day at work (or school if you're a student like me), then you should definitely read this one!...more

And as I'm writing this, I realized that I also finished Prince Caspian last 2013... I think? Gaaaah! My brain needs a refresher. Wait a sec, I'll be right back. *flies away*
Okay, so I was wrong. I did not read Price Caspian last 2013. Still have to read it! Sorry.
Anyway, back to my review... Compared to the three books that I already read in the series (I read it in chronological order btw), this one's my favorite. Don't get me wrong, I love the heroes and heroines in the other two books, but there's a certain charm about Digory and Polly that I love. I also loved how this book is the beginning of all the things that will happen in Narnia....more

I love unexpected-pregnancy-then-forced-to-marry stories. Whether the hero and heroine have a love-hate relationship or they fall in love eventually, I still love it. I can name a lot of books that I've read over the past five years with a similar storyline. And yet, my love for them still hasn't faded. Some people smoke crack, others drink alcohol, but me? I live for stories like this. I can't even describe my feelings (naks ang drama haha). This is just... perfect. As a reader, there's this dream you have at the back of your mind, that given the chance to write a story or a book, you have this secret fantasy that you want to give life to. And this is very similar to mine. LOVED. IT....more

The last time that I've read a Gansett novel, I thought Jenny the lightkeeper would be Adam's love interest. Well, all's well that ends well cos there's so much chemistry between Adam and Abby! Of course, the side stories were still there this being a Gansett novel. Some I loved, the others not so much like Seamus and Carolina's story. I'm still having a hard time adjusting to that. I loved Kara and Dan's, though! But I especially love Grant and Stephanie's story. I think theirs was an essential and it was nice to see their love for one another survive a very hard obstacle. Of course there were also Maddie and Mac, Janey and Joe, Evan and Grace, Tiffany and Blaine, etc, and a new one - Daisy and David. Just like the other Gansett novels, I really enjoyed reading this!
