Boop, the Cozy Romantasy: A Review of How to Tame a Trickster Fae (ARC), Book 1 in the Wild Oak Woods Series.
First Impressions: Alien Werewolf's Prize throws you headfirst into a cozy small town filled with witches, fae, and a rag tag group on fantasy creatures. The author does an excellent job of establishing the group of characters and tI found the chapters focused on the friendships were my favorite. I loved our grumpy MMC and his buddies, Kieran and GaRek. The Coven girlies were fabulous as well! Piper, Willow, Narissa, and Rosalina.
The Heart of the Arc: The romance between Wren and Caelan is was so cute! I found their romance to be sweet, spicy, and believable. I love the small town vibes of Wild Oak and could immediately visualize the place. January also has some visuals on her website if you’re interested: https://wildoakwoods.januarybellroman...
A Final Verdict: How to Tame a Trickster Fae is a promising start to a heart-warming cozy fantasy romance series. With its strong characters, cozy small town vibes, and sizzling romance, this is a series I'll be eagerly waiting to keep reading!
Recommendation: If you're looking for a shorter read and love cozy & spicy romances, then definitely add How to Tame a Trickster Fae to your TBR list.

What I loved: - Plus-size Heroine: CurvRating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect for: Cozy fantasy lovers seeking a character-driven tale with a spicy second-chance romance.
What I loved: - Plus-size Heroine: Curvy girl representation on this one. -Cozy vibes: The autumnal setting and magical atmosphere create a comforting escape. -Character-focused: Cassie's journey of self-discovery and reconnecting with her past is heartwarming. -Paranormal romance: The relationship between the FMC and MMC is youthful and I laughed at how they tip toed around one another.
A heads-up:The second half of the book is smutty but, thankfully no knotting. (Personally, I don't like that trope.)
Audiobook:The audiobook, narrated by Yael Rizowy, brings the story to life with her captivating voice. However, some listeners may find the choice of voice for Cassie's familiar a bit off-putting.
Overall: A delightful blend of fantasy, romance, and cozy charm that will leave you wanting more.
Many thanks to NetGalley for providing me an audiobook ARC in exchange for an honest review!...more
