My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!
***I received two of the stories for an honest review and I purchased the other three.

A Taste of Honey
I bought this book in January, and I decided to read it first because I could finish it quickly in one night when I started it in the evening as it is about 130 pages. This is for adults because it does have some steamy sex scenes and violence. It does have a nice balance where the steamy scenes do not overwhelm the story at all. This is a complaint my mom has about some books especially when they are novellas or short stories.

Olivia has moments of strength mixed with self doubt due to lots of poor choices when it comes to dating. Cody has an amazing strength considering all he has been through which is a lot, but I’m not going to ruin the story for you by giving any details. You will need to read it. This book is packed with fleeing, fighting, and so much more.

It did not take me long to get sucked into Catherine’s story, and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. I was definitely over much too quickly. Catherine’s style and descriptions were easy for me to get into, and it kept my attention the whole way. I can’t wait to read more of Catherine’s stories in the future.

Awakening the Bear
I bought this book back in April. This book is part of the Taste of Honey series, and it has about 120 pages. It is for adults only due to the steamy content and violence.

This story is primarily about Ben, but Raven is a significant part of the book too! You can read the blurb, so I’m not going to restate what happens, but Ben likes to beat himself up and take the guilt where there should be none. Raven is a kick butt werebear, and I really liked this character. I love a girl who can take care of herself but will let others take care of her or let them help her. She rocks. This story has quite a bit of action, and I enjoyed it a lot. The ending made me growl though because it didn’t happen the way I wanted. I hope I see more of Ben and Raven in the future.

Bear the Heat
Okay, I saw the cover, and I had to try it :) This is the first book I have read by Catherine Vale, and I liked it a lot :)

Sonya has amazing strength and determination, but her story wow!!! You will definitely feel for her when you read, but I don’t want to give anything away. Caleb is a sexy firefighting werebear…need I say more! I want one!!! ;)

Catherine Vale is definitely an author that I’m going to have to check out more of her work in the future. Her author bio isn’t lying that’s for sure. I’m definitely going to need more of this series too :) I’m hoping the rest of the fire fighting boys find a girl, but that we also get more of Caleb and Sonya in the future :)

Her Two Bears
Catherine’s books always leave me feeling happy when I read them :) I wished there was a bit of action though in this one since they were cops, but it didn’t happen. I like seeing shifters go all caveman protecting their mates. It is always easy to connect with Catherine’s characters and worlds though I can’t help but wonder is Alex’s story published and I just haven’t seen it or is it just part of this story only in minute details. Catherine does an amazing job with the bears sharing Sadie, but the men are not lovers which I was wondering when I started reading this if that was the direction it was going.

Sadie is easy to connect with….well at least for me because I’m horrible at the whole dating men thing, so I get the bad experiences clouding everything in the here and now. Her best friend is honest and tells her like it is which is great when she thinks too much. The boys are….well everything I would want ;) My favorite scene involves water, but you have to read it to know what I’m talking about :)

Double Trouble
This is the 2nd book in the series, and while you do not have to read them in order, I think you will enjoy it more if you did :) My suggested reading order is Her Two Bears, then Tigers Tango, and then Double Trouble. There is a crossover, and I was glad I accidently read Tigers Tango before reading this one :) I’m going to have to pay more attention to see which book crossover and connect :) This is for adults only due to the very steamy content with the trio (no M/M stuff, Sadie is the focus). It is of novella length.

Sadie and Peyton are having a major adventure though I can’t say that I’d like to switch places with them. They are strong and feisty!! Danger galore, Sadie is clueless at the start but Peyton has her back, and some major steamy scenes with Sadie and her bears. I do hope Peyton gets a story soon :) This story was packed with adventure, and I enjoyed it!.

I recommend this book to all the bear lovin’ shifter readers out there especially if you have read Catherine’s work before and liked it!!
