This book has everything I’ve always loved … a great romance with a little bit of angst and a hint of comedy.

After reading a few paragraphs, I hooked. I couldn’t stop laughing at the awkward situation of Dylan and Zoe’s first met. I couldn’t believe that Ella Maise would have chosen that to be their first time to lay eyes on each other. Who does that in a romance novel but it seemed to work a magic to me. I laughed out loud at their interaction since it was really hilarious.

I clung to every word I read.

I couldn’t describe this book as a slow-burn romance … granted it took them three years to finally met-met but after that, the story was set at a good pace. I admitted that I wasn’t a fan of the way Ella Maise put small hints of Zoe’s circumstance here and there. It was great for the story no doubt. But it was too great since I cheated and skipped chapters to find out before came back to pick up what I left off.

I knew it would be a great book after finishing the first chapter.

Dylan and Zoe’s chemistry was palpable. I couldn’t help but fell in love with them more and more each page. The way they acted around each other was so sweet. Zoe was being shy and all. The weird and quirky things she acted around Dylan and the way he reacted to her … let’s just say I may have to buy a new pillow.

"My heart beats differently for you. It feels different somehow. I know this probably doesn’t make sense, but … it beats louder and wilder when I see you."

I also like the way that the story tended to focus on Dylan and Zoe; it fast forwarded everything that didn’t affect the protagonist. However, that didn’t mean I couldn’t find a glimpse of how they interacted with their friends. It showed me just enough to feel what they felt which was okay for me.

This is the second book of Ella Maise that I’ve read and it still blew my mind like the last one I read. The story was fantastic and new in any way. I recommend you to give it a try.
