I'm giving this 1 STAR for that ending I don't care how petty I'm being...
The only reason I picked this one up straight after the first one was because of the cliffhanger and here we have yet another fucking cliffhanger- it's the way I'm being played right now!!!! 😡
I still don't know what this series is about and what is happening 60% of the time and yet I still had a good time. But apparently I'm only here for a good time and not a long time because that ending.....
STUPID!!!!!
Anyways this was good so 4 STARS.

What's happening 60% of the times is an explanation of how magic and/or the school works which is 2 and a half pages of what eventually boils down to "we have no idea, it just works" with a touch of This Is A String Of Words That Appear To Have Meaning But Actually Don't.And yet. I, too, had a good time dammit. The first one annoyed me in so many ways and yet I wanted more and then the second one kept on annoying me in the exact same ways but I still enjoyed both and I still want to read more???

Hmmmm I didn’t love it….the last 25% was a slog…

I don't know what's happening most of the time either but I still love this book. But the ending totally killed me...

I was also suckered into reading the second book because of the cliffhanger and this book pissed me off immediately by re-explaining everything that happened in the first book. Like why are you reintroducing these characters to me?! I’m already familiar with their dynamic!
This is why I never start a series until it is finished.
