Have I ever told yall that I hate dragons? This story just didn't do it for me. Yarros is a talented writer and storyteller, and I think I would like to read her work if she ever picks a different genre.

The romance or should I say infatuation with the boy goes on and on and on and on.... I was so tired of reading about her surface level feelings. I was ready for the intelligent, free will, fire breathing dragons to eat the humans and take over the world.

And I know that I'm weird, but several times the story mentions feeding one dragon a whole flock of sheep. Is this sustainable? What the logistics to make this happen.

Just dragons aren't my thing. I will only pick up the next book if the stars align perfectly. Otherwise, I have no desire to continue this story.
