I loved this second chance romance. Annabelle Anders is quickly becoming one of my favourite historical romance authors. She has created beautiful settings, characters with individuality, suspenseful situations, a perfect touch of angst and spice and a heartfelt romance. I so felt for Lily and all that she had experienced in the 10 years since she met Michael. I appreciate a book that engages my emotions and with this book I laughed, cried, felt fear and experienced a profound sense of joy with the ending. I can’t wait to read the second book in this Lord Loves a Lady series and do hope that we hear more from Lily and Michael in the continuing stories.
