This novella, the first in a series, is a short, fun, sweet read that introduces characters that have residences on the same street in seaside Brighton. The book does a good job of creating characters and dilemmas that will feature in future stories. In this story Miss Watson is a combination of brash and demure and in trying to solve a problem for her brother she causes more problems not only for herself but also for her intended hero David, her brother and her best friend. Although some of the story, especially the ending, seems rushed I enjoyed the characters and can't wait to see what happens in book two.
