Read 2 times. Last read January 15, 2022.
A wonderfully sweet read that put a huge smile on my face.
Song writer and music teacher Sylvie Morgan is a few weeks from leaving Havenport and her dreams behind to start a new corporate job she doesn’t want.
Just before she’s about to go, she meets Wyatt Ford who just moved to the charming fishing village or Havenport, Massachusetts to mend a broken heart, follow his dream of becoming a brewmaster while starting an apprenticeship at the local brewery.
The two have electric chemistry and instant connection. He falls for Sylvie’s talent, beauty and kind heart. She senses he’s protective and sweet, and witnesses how he wears his heart on his sleeve. It’s impossible not to like both characters, but I especially loved Wyatt’s support towards Sylvie.
Even though the story is short and fast-paced the characters are well developed and their story is lighthearted, sweet, and steamy. I can’t wait to come back to Havenport and read more of Daphne’s stories.
➵ Facts: Dad Bod Bartender is a standalone novella by author Daphne Elliot. Told from both POV with a happy ending. Other tropes: insta-love | small town
