Humans and aliens must work through a series of crises together, each needing the other and each needing to overcome suspicions and misunderstandings. Thrilling storytelling with believable, approachable, and complex alien characters and all too human humans. Lerner weaves us a wonderful tale and an SF murder mystery in the tradition of great mystery writers on our own planet. Really. A fun read and escape for any SF fan.
