This series was decent, left a lot to be desired and had so much potential.
Whether it was a few episodes too short or just underwritten in earlier episodes it seemed that the "twists" in the end developed too fast and therefore came across as a bit absurd/ silly. Then the post credit "explanation of how I did everything" was just... idk... if you have to explain how it all worked in a final summary scene like that, during the credits, then odds are you did a bad job telling the story.
A good twist ending leaves the audience with lightbulbs going off in their head and that "oh my gosh it all makes sense now!" Moment...
This was the opposite... more of a "... seriously... this is where they're going with it?"
And I can't tell... are they leaving it open for a second season or was that just a fun little "scare" in the final scene before the credits?
All in all this series was decent, average at best. Madison Iseman's acting was the only one that really stood out - carried most of the episodes. Plus, she is really attractive so that definitely helped haha...
This won't be on my "watch again" list or my "recommend to friends" list... and I honestly won't be glued to my seat waiting for a season 2 announcement.
This is a "there is nothing else on and I'm in the mood to see something I haven't seen before" kind of recommendation. Not as good as the 90s movie but, let's be honest, that movie wasn't that great either.
Go in with low expectations and you won't be disappointed.
