Fim da Inocência follows the story of a teenager, her secrets and experiences about sex, drugs, parties and friendship. I was expecting something really bad, because I have a horrible experience with Portuguese mainstream cinema, but I need to be honest and say I'm really surprised about what I watched.
This movie is hard, has a lot of scenes where the teenagers use drugs and some sex scenes with a lot of bad language. In another point of view, can be an educative film, the young viewers will be scared with this dark world full of dangerous traps (I mean, drugs, parties, sex, bad friendships, ...) sounds like the famous TV show called Skins but in a Portuguese version and with a stronger life lesson.
There are some problems like some actors in the cast, they looked amateur and sometimes the sound could be better. But Fim da Inocência has a good cinematography, a clever screenplay (would be a bit better if the screenwriter tried to deepen some subtopics), the main actress is amazing and the movie is not afraid to shock the audience, the rape scene in a great example. It was so hard and painful to watch, in my opinion, one of the hardest and strongest scenes I've seen in a Portuguese film.
It's a good film, away of being a classic, gave me hope about the mainstream movies made in Portugal.
Rating: 7.5/10
