Sonia joined the team in September 2022 and is about to celebrate her 2-year anniversary. She started as a Prep Cook and was promoted to Line Cook, mastering every area of the kitchen. In recent weeks, we installed new signage that explains a butterfly's life cycle, information on Florida Native butterflies, and returned the chyrsalis house! We offer Guided Field Trips for grades 2-12 and engaging Self-Guided Field Trips for grades K-12, both for groups of at least 15 students. Employee of the Month, June: Cassidy Duarte Romero, Event Sales Admin Assistant Congratulations to Cassidy, our June Employee of the Month! Cassidy joined the BSP team in February 2023 as the Event Sales Admin Assistant and has been a trailblazer from day one. Cassidy is well-organized and always has a friendly, professional demeanor. Thank you, Cassidy, for all you do for Bonnet Springs Park!

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jack Harrell Jr., a cherished leader, mentor, and friend. Jack was known for his philanthropic spirit, faith, and dedication to our community. Alongside his wife Tina, Jack's generosity has touched countless lives and supported numerous causes throughout Lakeland. Jack's dedication to Bonnet Springs Park is truly remarkable. A strong belief in the mission led him and Tina to be among the founding donors and they have been part of our journey since the beginning. He was instrumental in our capital campaign, and his leadership as Chairman of the Board and the Executive Committee has been invaluable. The generous contributions to name The Harrell Family Botanical Gardens, Harrell Family Greenhouse, and sponsorship of agronomic supplies all stand as a testament to his profound impact on our Park. We are forever grateful for Jack's contributions and the lasting mark he has left on our community.
