🎤 Creating joy inside the vehicle is a huge part of our team’s job at Ford. Now, for the first time karaoke will be available to Ford owners, starting with F-150 Lightning and followed by Mustang Mach-E! The capability is also coming soon to the Ford and Lincoln Digital Experience – so stay tuned!     Owners, their friends and family can enjoy karaoke courtesy of Stingray right from the in-vehicle screen while parked or on the go driving - which is an awesome way to spend time with family and friends while stopped to charge!     While parked, the lyrics of the song selected will show on the in-vehicle screen. While driving, our amazing team of Ford Motor Company engineers in collaboration with Stingray, developed a unique drivetime experience for friends and family sitting in the passenger seat to enjoy.      Here is how it works for the passenger and what the teams developed. When the app is launched on the in-vehicle screen, the vehicle will detect if a passenger is buckled and sitting in the front seat and a QR code will appear on the screen. The passenger can use their smartphone to scan the QR code and a webpage will open to control the karaoke experience from their smartphone without having to login to an app. Passengers can add songs to their play list, change songs, view scrolling lyrics and utilize the vehicle’s audio system.     If you are an electric vehicle owner, once you receive the update be sure to share your karaoke videos with us via #FordKaraoke. We can’t wait to see it!  Victor ChenPatrick WardJim RileyJack WalpuckKeerthana ThangarajuT.C. WingroveHadi SaabAlbert ChoiJaife Rainelli   https://lnkd.in/gTBN8Nzh

This September marks a significant milestone – 75 years of Ford Philanthropy! Established by Henry Ford II in 1949, our mission has always centered on helping build a better world. Today, we continue that legacy by partnering with nonprofits to expand access to essential services, education and entrepreneurship. Wherever we can, we use the power of mobility to find new ways to connect people with the resources and services they need most. Since our founding, Ford and Ford Philanthropy have contributed more than $2.3 billion to uplift and strengthen communities. "Giving back has been an integral part of Ford’s history and values since the very beginning,” says Mary Culler, President, Ford Philanthropy. “As we celebrate 75 years of impact, we remain deeply committed to leveraging Ford’s unique capabilities and expertise to help drive positive change in communities around the world where Ford has roots.” A huge thank you to our partners and the thousands of Ford employees who volunteer each year, dedicating their time to help move people and communities forward. Here’s to many more years of making a difference together! During the COVID crisis, our team at Rawsonville Components Plant produced over 50,000 ventilators. Today, it’s where we assemble batteries for our electric and hybrid vehicles. I’m always inspired by our team members, especially multi-generation Ford Motor Company families like Alicia Banks's and Gary Brabant's. Great meeting you both and thank you for your contributions and service! #WeAreFord #FordMotorCompany

Each September, Ford celebrates #GlobalCaringMonth, a month-long community service initiative that encourages employees to design their own volunteer projects. This annual event mobilizes thousands of Ford employees across the globe to engage in volunteer projects that address the pressing needs of the communities where they live and work. This September, we have 189 projects in 30 countries, including building homes, renovating schools, cleaning up parks, installing clean water systems, distributing fresh food and more in Ford communities worldwide. This year Ford Philanthropy and GlobalGiving, Ford Philanthropy’s international grant-making partner, provided grants of up to USD $10,000 to selected nonprofit organizations for tools and supplies to complete the project. Since Global Caring Month began in 2006, Ford has engaged nearly 100,000 Ford employees who have used their skills, creativity, and energy on more than 2,000 community impact projects in 45+ countries. For years, communications manager Meredith Libbey, MBA, APR, Fellow PRSA and her team in Nashville have partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee during Global Caring Month. This year, Meredith shared, “We’ll fill about 2,000 backpacks with food for children who will take them home from school on Friday afternoons. Thanks to a grant from Ford Philanthropy, we help keep children from going hungry over the weekend, so we know Ford’s making a difference for thousands of kids.” This spirit of caring also extends across the globe, taking different forms to meet local needs. In Germany for instance, Senior Project Engineer Fahrettin Isikdemir and the MENA Turkish Chapter are mentoring students in partnership with Stiftung Bildung & Egitim, encouraging them to aim higher. "Education plays an important role in the progress of a community...acting as a mentor contributes to my personal and professional growth,” Fahrettin says. These stories aren't unique – they're at the heart of what Global Caring Month is all about. Want to work for a company that supports your commitment to making the world a better place? U.S. salaried employees are entitled to 16 hours of paid community service annually. Learn more at http://spr.ly/6042WFg3I . #WeAreFord #FordPhilanthropy
