As the school year kicks off, the Office of the County Engineer joined Harris County Precinct 2 in unveiling the completion of the first phase of the Dell Dale Street Sidewalk Improvement Project. In December 2022, Jacqueline Gonzalez tragically lost her life while crossing Dell Dale Street due to the lack of sidewalks and adequate lighting. Today, the improvements include ADA-compliant pedestrian facilities, such as 9,700 feet of new sidewalks and curb ramps along Dell Dale Street from Woodforest Blvd to Wallisville Rd, creating a safe pathway for our residents, including children who attend nearby schools. #CommunitySafety #HarrisCounty #HarrisCountyPrecinct2 #OCE
