Our partners at The Ocean Cleanup and their System 03 vessels recently returned to port in San Francisco. The Ocean Cleanup had been on a voyage to extract plastic from the world's largest accumulation of plastic - the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. This significant moment was marked by the announcement that The Ocean Cleanup declares the GPGP cleanable and is working on introducing an innovative extracting method with GPS trackers and AI-powered aerial drones. This advancement will improve the efficiency of the catch by hunting hotspots where plastic accumulates the most. For that, Boyan Slat, Founder and CEO, explained that hotspot hunting would reduce extraction time and costs. Through this partnership, Kia is proud to continue supporting the mission to rid the oceans of plastic. We've teamed up with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital for their Walk/Run event, hosting 40 races across the US on September 21st and 28th. #Kia employee teams will attend the Long Beach, Atlanta, and Dallas events. In our efforts to #AccelerateTheGood, over 40 Kia team members volunteered at Seal Beach, CA with Surfrider Foundation North Orange County. We collected 172 pounds of trash in just a few hours, leaving the beach clean and ready to enjoy. 🏝

This year marks our fifth consecutive Rebelle Rally competition and our first time partnering with ArtCenter College of Design to create a unique livery for our modified Telluride X-Pro. Inspired by the navigational skills used in the Rebelle Rally, the winning student based their design on a topographic map of the Las Vegas Valley.
