We're excited to celebrate this recyclability milestone for Kuraray's 'PE/EVOH barrier with PE-g-MAH' technology. This approval from RecyClass is a big step forward for sustainable packaging solutions, helping us contribute to a circular economy and a greener future. #SustainableSeptember
We're thrilled to share further a recent news of Recyclass: Kuraray’s ‘PE/EVOH barrier with PE-g-MAH’ technology has received recyclability approval by RecyClass! The discovery: RecyClass PO films Technical Committee has conducted research on the technology ‘PE/EVOH barrier with PE-g-MAH’ by Kuraray. Based on their findings, RecyClass concludes that ‘PE/EVOH barrier with PE-g-MAH’ technology by Kuraray as per current market conditions and knowledge, is fully compatible with the existing European industrial recycling processes for PE flexibles. The technology: an LDPE-based film containing EVOH as inner layer and PE-g-MAH tie layers. The EVOH represents 5.7 wt% of the total film weight, with a tie layer: EVOH ratio corresponding to 1.5. The detailed conditions can be found on the Recyclass website.
