Taraxacum is the scientific name for the common dandelion plant. It belongs to the Asteraceae family and is native to Europe, Asia, and North America. The plant is well-known for its yellow flower and its seeds that are dispersed by the wind. The dandelion has been used for medicinal purposes for centuries and is believed to have many health benefits. It contains vitamins A, C, and K, as well as minerals such as calcium and potassium.
