I use the "longstitch through a slotted cover" quite often. I wish it had a better name, but "longstitch" is too general, so I'm just using the title that Keith Smith has given it (p. 141, Vol 1 Non Adhesive Binding). These are extra thick journals with more than 500 pages. They have wrap-around covers & a long strap to wrap around the book. The pages are handbound using a longstitch and link stitch binding, sewn with natural linen thread. The sewing is visible on the spine in an X pattern. There are 512 pages (when you count both sides of each sheet). Paper is ivory, 50lb (74g/m2) Canson drawing paper, unlined, with torn edges.
