Are you looking for a new classroom sensory idea? One of my favorite sensory activities for elementary students is making potions. There are so many benefits to sensory play, like helping sensory sensitivity and regulating emotions for kids. My blog post gives you step-by-step instructions on mixing potions, including my potion ingredient list. This would be a great outdoor classroom idea to prevent a mess but you can also use a splat mat if you need an indoor classroom activity.

Magic potions are one of my boys' favourite nature play activities! There is just something so special about mixing all the ingredients, smelling the scent of the beautiful florals, adding sparkly glitter and then seeing it all fizz up when you add water!
