Geese were a common sight along the canals and villages that lined the Nile. Farmers also kept sheep, goats, cattle, and pigs. Pretty much the same things farmers today have. The Nile itself was a source of an abundance of fish such as Tilapia and Catfish, both of which were found close to the banks of the Nile.
