aesthetic | mcu alternate universe: high school au

a marvel au i may or (more likely) may not write at some point. the setting is (how original) high school. i'm mostly doing this for myself, to organize my ideas. few things about this au: - no one is cishet. no one. - tony, stephen and vision are not there, mostly because i Do Not care about them and therefore don't want to write about them - i know some people see loki as the goth/emo loner but let's be real. that's hela. loki is 100% a theatre kid, esp. post-ragnarok. - these are friend groups, not cliques. all of these people are at least somewhat friends with each other, or at the very least have mutual friends. when someone has a birthday party, they're all invited. the story centers around these characters and groups: the musical & dance theatre kids: loki, wanda, natasha, peter q, gamora, mantis. ride or die "inner circle". can be found laying on the stage between rehearsals, eating cold pizza someone ordered against the rules and complaining about their parents while fixing each other's makeup. everyone's favourite disasters: steve, sam, bucky, t'challa, clint, scott, peggy, sharon, rhodey, maria h, carol, maria r. a dream team, good friends with the other theatre kids (especially nat and wanda), most of them also jocks. can be found sprawled across benches in the school cafeteria, sharing conspiracy theories and planning to overthrow the american goverment. the guardians: peter q, gamora, nebula, mantis, rocket, groot, drax. almost half of them are theatre kids, so they sometimes hang out with that crowd. can be found squashed in peter's shitty old car, ugly laughing at memes about being neurodivergent, blasting 70s music. team thor: thor, valkyrie, bruce, jane, darcy, heimdall, volstagg, fandral, hogun, sigyn, sif. especially thor is friends with everyone. can be found looking good without trying on the school parking lot or pulling val away from punching someone who told his friend he "runs like a girl". the cool nerds: peter p, shuri, ned, mj. also deal with the theatre lights and sounds etc. can be found blowing things up in the lab or gathered around someone's phone, watching vine compilations. girl gang: hela, okoye, nakia, hope, pepper. better than you and they know it. can be found dominating the stairwell, talking shit about people they don't like, comparing skin care routines and planning on how to destroy the patriarchy. can & will step on you with a five inch heel. and now the characters: loki odinson: smart, funny, dramatic. makes bad decisions. genderfluid pansexual. has adhd. has a lot of issues with their dad, but on better terms with their siblings than once was. uses black lipstick and wears a shirt that says "queer as in fuck you". together with sigyn. wanda maximoff: kind, caring, sad. bisexual. a traumatized mess, able to play mental illness bingo. her parents died on warzone and her brother committed suicide. lives with mantis. is slowly but steadily healing. surprisingly good friends with valkyrie. natasha "nat" romanoff: intelligent, strong, confident. nonbinary lesbian. roommates with clint. does ballet which gives her the physical skills she needs to strangle you with her feet. peter quill: reckless, hilarious, confident. bisexual trans man. has a wonderful mom with cancer and a shitty dad he doesn't live with anymore. head over heels in love with gamora, with whom he basically lives with - no one is really sure if he even has a home right now. gamora: smart, closed off, loving. bisexual. lives with her sister after getting away from their abusive father. will fight you, but actually really sweet. head over heels in love with peter. mantis: sweet, joyful, caring. lesbian. autistic. soft. lives with wanda and may have a (mutual) crush on her. literally the best person you will ever meet. thor odinson: friendly, supportive, brave. closeted bisexual. has adhd. nerdy jock with dozens of friends. has issues with his father (different than loki's, though) but would literally die for his mom and siblings. and friends. and total strangers. has a crush on bruce. good & pure. sigyn: smart, kind, bold. pansexual. has her shit together. sings like an angel but doesn't want to perform to big audiences (expect that one time with loki). can never be overdressed or overeducated. steve rogers: caring, stubborn, strong. bisexual. has asthma, anemia, scoliosis and chronic pain, but that's not going to stop him. 5'4" but acts like he's 6'2". artistic, helps the theatre crew a lot with props, outfit design, makeup etc. self proclaimed social justice warrior. used to date bucky, still best friends with him. james "bucky" barnes: loyal, protective, exasparated. gay. has a prosthetic arm. can sing & act. mom friend. science nerd. will fight you if you come to school with a cold or don't get 8h of sleep. may have a thing with sam. sam wilson: friendly, loyal, reckless. gay. can act, can't sing. will go to practice with two broken ribs and a concussion and then yell at you for not drinking enough water. may have a thing with bucky (still figuring out what that thing is). t'challa: kind, wise, strong. might be bisexual but doesn't have eyes for anyone but his girlfriend nakia. has his own issues with family but loves them with his whole heart. unfairly rich. above petty drama. actually really good friends with thor. clint barton: kind, funny, messy. what even is sexuality or gender? almost deaf, uses hearing aids and sign language. a literal disaster. brews his coffee with red bull instead of water. has never exercised for a minute in his life. scott lang: humorous, smart, chill. bisexual. doesn't take life or himself too seriously, tries to prioritize what's actually inportant. technology wizard. dating hope. peggy carter: smart, bold, confident. bisexual. into theatre and team sports (will destroy you at volleyball). good friends with sigyn. wears red lipstick like war paint. dated steve in junior high and may have something going on with him again. sharon carter: friendly, confident, brave. lesbian. athletic, can also act and sing. peggy's younger sister, will also destroy you at volleyball. kills them with kindness. james "rhodey" rhodes: loyal, funny, exasparated. nonbinary pansexual. partly paralyzed - walks with leg braces and crutches, sometimes uses a wheelchair. very close with bucky, mostly trying to keep their idiot friends from getting themselves killed. maria hill: loyal, serious, tough. lesbian. the one in group projects who actually does the work and gets the whole group an A. the rest of them thank her with free food. used to date nat, now has something going on with pepper. carol danvers: stubborn, confident, funny. lesbian. can sing but not act. athletic. has zero patience for any man who disrespects her or her friends. great sense of humor. can be reckless. has been dating maria r for years. maria rambeau: caring, resilient, smart. lesbian. wants to become a pilot. people think she's the responsible one but quickly change their minds after talking to her for five minutes. loves her girlfriend carol. nick fury: secretive, bold, smart. gay. blind in one eye, refuses to tell why. unofficial mom friend of literally everyone. doesn't admit that he cares about his friends. best friends with carol, but also close to nat and both marias. likes cats. everyone
