It’s The Game Awards tonight and that means just one thing: Loads of leaks this afternoon. Ubisoft’s Prince of Persia The Lost Crown is the latest with the full story trailer leaking online, a revised release date of January 18th 2024, and the news of a demo the week before release.

The game sees the Prince kidnapped with a group called the Immortals needing to step up to fill his wake against a number of dangers. This is a side-scrolling action adventure, but that doesn’t mean it’s got any less modern gaming attitude. In fact, with the music in the background, the thoroughly modern hairstyle and the finishing moves, “attitude” is a defining aspect of this game.

It should also be noted the main character is not the Prince of Persia, in fact he’s on a mission to rescue the Prince. There will be puzzles, traps, and mythological creatures popping up for a boss fight or two.

Here’s the blurb from Ubisoft:

Dash into a stylish and thrilling action-adventure platformer set in a mythological Persian world where the boundaries of time and space are yours to manipulate.

Play as Sargon and evolve from sword-wielding prodigy to extraordinary legend as you master acrobatic combat and unlock new Time Powers and unique super abilities.
