use in combination with “date of first performance”
[edit]I used to record the location of first performance as location (P276) qualifier on the date of first performance (P1191) statement, along with other information like the performer (P175) (example). How is this new property supposed to be used – qualifier or main statement? And if main statement – where should the other information be, on the date or on the location? (It doesn’t really belong on either of them :/ ) —Galaktos (talk) 21:39, 20 December 2017 (UTC)

- @Beat Estermann, Galaktos: Beat Estermann is probably better positioned than me to answer this question, but looking at the linked example on this property talk page, both location (P276) and date of first performance (P1191) are used as main statements. date of first performance (P1191) is specifically used for the date of the first performance, location (P276) for the location. The information under performer (P175) in your example seems logical to me to be there as a qualifier of date of first performance (P1191). Beireke1 (talk) 10:11, 4 January 2018 (UTC)
Event as location
[edit]Can anyone offer any guidance on using events as locations? Would that be an appropriate use for this property? I'm thinking specifically of performances at festivals, sporting events, or as parts of other performances (halftime shows, introductions, award shows). The current use query seems to favor geographic locations and performance spaces as values for this property, but maybe events would work as well? Thanks! Wskent (talk) 18:22, 23 June 2020 (UTC)
