Motivation
[edit]Hunterian transliteration (Q3631156) is the national system of romanization in India, officially adopted by Government of India. Not only, the system encompasses all Indic scripts and later extended to Tibetan, Burmese scripts etc, but also has been used to establish writing systems using the Latin alphabet for some Indian languages which were not associated with any written script previously, such as Mizo language. Unlike other transliteration system used for Indic languages, this system implemented Schwa deletion in Indo-Aryan languages (Q14402041), which was a major step. This property will help Indic language lexemes have this simple transliteration sysytem intended mostly for common users. Bodhisattwa (talk) 06:24, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
