So what now?[]

This page is excellent. Very to-the-point, containing a good amount of information without being just plain too long. So now the question is: What do we do with the now obsolete pages such as Template:Bp? I'm obviously voting for them to be redirected to their respective sections on this page. Also, someone should write a section for Dr. Mario, which I could do but clearly I'm busy fighting off viruses of my own. And by viruses I mean vandals. User:Ando/sig 16:50, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Yes, I think redirecting them to that part of the page would be the best thing to do. As for the character, Dr. Mario, I can work on that. User:Steven/sig 1:04, 10 July 2008 (EST)

We should redirect the articles to the relevant sections here (using #redirect[[Characters in Super Smash Bros. (series)#character name]]), but the images from the respective pages should also be moved here. User:Adam/sig17:36, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Kepping the images is a good idea, I definitely agree. User:Steven/sig 2:07, 10 July 2008 (EST)

I agree. However maybe characters who have appeared in all smash games (Mario, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Luigi, Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Ness, Fox, Samus and Captain Falcon) should have their own article? But if we did merge them with them with this page, it would only make sense to merge the bosses, asist trophys and stages into articles like these.--Link hero of light 20:15, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

The assist trophies have articles!? When did this happen!? The only one I can find is Lakitu which has other relevancies thanks to minish cap! I don't think that we need articles for the assist trophies, minus Tingle, of course... --Magnus orion 20:33, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
Aye, several Assist Trophies have articles. Lakitu, as you pointed out, as well as Lyn, probably more. I haven't looked.
The idea behind the merging of these articles, Link, was because we don't want those characters to have their own articles. It just seems silly for Pikachu to have its own article on a Zelda Wiki. However, it is Smash-related, and we DO cover the Smash games, so it should be somewhere. One big "Characters in" article just made the most sense.
And yes, all of the Assist Trophies, possibly stages, etc. should be merged. User:Ando/sig 20:39, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Stages[]

Stages may have to be a little different. There are almost 100 stages to date in the combined total for the SSB series. I was thinking of making 3 different pages for each game for stages.User:Steven/sig 17:19, 10 July 2008 (EST)

Works for me. User:Ando/sig 22:55, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

Just to interject; as a non-player of the SSB games I have to ask, is there any crossover between the stages in different games? By which I mean, do some stages appear in all three, or is that quite rare? To me that would be the only obstacle to what you're suggested above, which seems like a good idea to me. User:Adam/sig 09:05, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Final Destanation has appeared in all SSB Games(as far as i'm aware), but it has been Re-Designed for each game, so images of all 3 different designs should be in FD's Section.-Jedi 12:21, 5 November 2008 (UTC)

Images[]

As you'll see from my comments above, I'm wholly onboard with the recent change to integrate all character articles into one. However, this has left a number of orphaned images which I've collected into the gallery below. Rather than mark them all for deletion, I thought I'd raise the question - is there a place for them anywhere else still? What this has also drawn to my attention is that there is some disparity in the way which character lists are treated across the SSB series. Brawl characters still have their own gallery page, the character section for Melee points back here, whereas the Super Smash Bros. article (which is admittedly quite poor) has just a list of (what are now) individual redirects. Any thoughts on how we want to standardise this? User:Adam/sig 09:05, 13 July 2008 (UTC) If you can find an image of Captain Falcon doing the Falcon Punch i'd like it if you add it to the Cap's section

Characters that we want in Smash Bros[]

Did anyone ever think of making an article where we can suggest new SSB Chatacters and their movesets? Well i Did! Please make bullitens(By typing *s before typing)before Articles.

  • Vaati
  • Zant

Come on, he's one of the most memorable and powerful sorcerers in the series(along with Agnahimm and Zant) Up Special:Switch between Vaati and Vaati Reborn. Vaati=Kinda slow, average Health, Attack and Weight. Vaati Reborn=Above average speed, Good Health, Very powerful attacks and low Weight. Neutral Special:Vaati= Fires a Ball of Dark Magic, Fast Chargeup, Average Damage and Knockback. Vaati Reborn= Fires a Lazer from the eye on his chest, Average Chargeup, lasts 4 seconds, Great Damage and no Knockback. Down Special:Game Pauses and Player Controling Vaati(or the Vaati that used the attack ) can move the cursor to a location and teleport Vaati there, No chargeup and 30 second recharge(to stop Vaati being impossible to hit). Final Smash: Vaati turns into Vaati's Wrath and fires a Massive Blast of Dark Energy at anyone in the way, Great Damage, 4 hits and then a powerful Knockback. If anyone can make a Video Simulating this moveset, please put it on YouTube and send it 2 my Account, UndeadJedi7. Happy Posting!Template:Nosig

While a good idea, it's unfortunately something that really has no place on Zelda Wiki. The Wiki is for factual information, and while Skull Kid in Smash Bros. would be absolutely awesome, there's nothing factual about it at all, so I couldn't add that to his page. There are, however, plenty of fan sites out there that you can post your ideas at (after all, most of these sites have message boards!), and you can also get feedback from other people, whereas here you couldn't. Waluigi[]

I noticed something that could result in an edit war... Waluigi technically isn't a playable character, just an assist trophy. Unless the other twenty-or-so assist trophy characters are added into this article, I don't see why he's here. --Douken 06:09, 19 November 2008 (UTC)

I don't believe that he is in Zelda! Seriously, who makes these pages?...

Tell us who you are, mystery person :P I don't know who, but I'll guess a SSB fan. ~Lodra

Real Master Hand Origin[]

Even who this guy is, he is just talking about his own speculations.

First, Master and Crazy Hand are from Kirby games, but he acts if they are new to the whole Nintendo Universe. Second of all. If that Giga Bowser is his too, that is wrong too. He's just a boss in SSBM and Jigglypuff has nothing to do with it. (Nice try getting a Story in SSMB, but there is none...)Template:Nosig

Moving Page[]

There is a Shadow in Tingle's Rosy Rupeland. Each time I click "Shadow's" link, it takes me to "Shadow the Hedgehog". Each character should be directed to the right page. Eximius 06:51, 23 June 2009 (UTC)

This really needs to get moved, seeing how it's intervening from creating a page to a character of TRR. I tried to do it myself, but I'm not quite sure how to delete a redirect page. Thanks! Dany36 23:14, 27 June 2009 (UTC)
I've deleted the redirect. User:Adam/sig 11:28, 30 June 2009 (UTC)

Table[]

If anyone wants to figure out how the sortable tables are done on the Magic Ring page and apply that to this, I recommend it. The table could shuffle the list by the series of the character and availability for each game. User:Axiomist/sig 02:04, 8 November 2009 (UTC)

Ask and ye shall receive. ;)
Just for reference, future editors, in terms of the key, 1 means in the game, 2 means in the game and unlockable, 3 means not in the game. User:Aerostella/sig 02:52, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Thank you O Great Disciple of Sorting :3 I've decided from now on i'll just go straight to you when I find something needing either tablization or to include the sortable aspect. User:Axiomist/sig 01:03, 10 November 2009 (UTC)

Smash Flash?[]

....? -ZeldaMan 17:05, 14 May 2010 (PCS)

Smash Flash is not an official Super Smash Bros. game produced by Nintendo, and so its characters do not count in this article. Infernap (talk) 14:49, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

Size and Relevance[]

This page, first of all, is extremely large considering its subject matter. This is a ZELDA Wiki, not a Super Smash Brothers wiki. As such, I question this pages relevance at all outside of the manners in which the Smash series intersects with the Zelda series. I'm not suggesting this page be deleted yet, but I feel that it is extremely oversize, and extremely irrelevant. It needs to be fixed, or I will take a hatchet to it and watch as small children weep. --Xizor 09:37, 7 July 2010 (UTC)

You'd be surprised. A lot of these characters had ARTICLES ON THEIR OWN on the wiki, until they were all merged on this page. If you want to cut it down, sure, go ahead. I have no objections. :P Dany36 14:41, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
Well my concern is, why do we care about Captain Falcon here? Or Ness? Why don't we just have an article solely about Zelda series relevance to the SSB series? --Xizor 09:43, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
Super Smash Bros. seems more like a Mario series, even though it covers every series. I'd rather see this on Mario Wiki than Zelda Wiki, since it would be more relevant there. Petman1325 15:32, 18 July 2010 (UTC)

Nobody did anything with it, so I'm going to take care of this page in my own special way when I get the time. --Xizor 07:10, 11 September 2010 (EDT)

Image Graphics Problem[]

I just wanted to ask if it is a problem with my computer's graphics or not, but when I look at the image of Marth, it looks like a picture of the Maidens. If I click on it, it's actually an image of the character but under Thumbnail it's just a bunch of pixels. Why is this? Sorry- I just was wondering. Darkness 23:23, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

I am getting the same issue, something has messed up somewhere. Very unusual. The image under the thumbnail appears to be the Broken Sword from Oracle of Ages. No idea what has caused this, an admin might know. If you spot anything else like this, report it on the Milk Bar. In the meantime I'll reupload it and see if it fixes the issue. User:Fizzle/sig 23:29, 17 October 2012 (UTC)

Thank you. It appears to be fixed, and both errors just reverted to the normal picture. Thanks! Darkness 22:06, 21 October 2012 (UTC)

Super Smash Bros. 4 pictures[]

As Super Smash Bros. 4 is almost upon us, I feel that we should update this page to include the pictures of the characters from the new game, and also add new sections for the newcomers. Does anybody else agree with me? If yes, I will start changing these files up. Infernap (talk) 14:49, 20 February 2014 (UTC)
