Dying Light: The Beast Is Standalone Game. Will Provide About 20 Hours of Gameplay

At Opening Night Live, Techland announced Dying Light: The Beast, a new installment in the series featuring the protagonist of the first game.

One of the pleasant surprises of the gamescom 2024 Opening Night Live presentation was the announcement of Dying Light: The Beast.

  1. The biggest surprise is that it will not be a DLC to Dying Light 2, but a standalone production.
  2. Dying Light: The Beast is supposed to provide about 20 hours of gameplay.
  3. The main character of the game will be Kyle Crane, known from the first game. He will be equipped with superhuman powers, which should greatly diversify the fun.
  4. The action will be set in a new location called Castor Woods.

Dying Light: The Beast started life as the second DLC for Dying Light 2, but the developers decided to turn the project into a standalone game. However, those who purchased the Ultimate Edition ofDL2 will get Dying Light: The Beast for free.

The game is heading to PC, Xbox Series S, Xbox Series X, and PlayStation 5. The release date is currently unknown.
