The Forever Winter will be available next week in early access on PC (console fans will have to wait for some time). It is an extraction shooter, in which players are thrown into a dangerous world of a constant conflict. While big robots fight against each other, destroying the environment, some people try to survive the chaos, and you are one of them. Of course, many people play such games for the company. So, let’s talk about multiplayer.

PvP in The Forever Winter (TFW)

There is no PvP in The Forever Winter. At this point it is difficult to say if developers will decide at some point to introduce it. Even if so, it would be better not to expect anything soon. As of now, you can enjoy PvE mode.

Coop in The Forever Winter (TFW)

Multiplayer in The Forever Winter is focused on PvE mode. You can play solo or with a group of friends in coop. If you pick the second option, be prepared for max 4 players. There is no level cap, so you can join whoever you want. However, the more companions, the bigger target you become. So, in bigger groups being stealthy becomes difficult.

The game features Innards. These are “worlds” of each person. In them, you can unlock various features during gameplay. Other players will have access to them if you are a host. However, this mechanic is still restricted by different factors like reputation system. If a faction does not like you, some vendors will refuse to sell you equipment, even though they are unlocked. It was well explained in the developers’ Q&A on YouTube.
