Another of this year's game starring killer machines (in this case, an entire army) sufferes a delay. Real-time strategy game Terminator: Dark Fate - Defiance will not be released on December 7 - the release date has been pushed back to February 21, 2024. The information was provided in an announcement published on Steam.

As is usual in such situations, the developers at Slitherine justified their decision with the need to better polish the game. Nearly three months of additional time is to enable the developer to deal with bugs and generally polish the game. They also mentioned further multiplayer testing (including "strengthening" the server infrastructure), as well as some specific glitches, including with some integrated graphics and tutorial screens.

The change of the release date just a week before the scheduled launch may come as a disappointment to gamers who were hoping to check out soon what is perhaps the first real-time strategy game based on Terminator license (at least the traditional one; after all, there are MMORTS games Terminator Genisys: Future War and the no longer available Terminator: Resistance). We can only hope that the delay will work out for Dark Fate - Defiance, just as it did for RoboCop: Rogue City.
