Not long ago we wrote about the fact that CD Projekt Group is finishing the development of The Witcher Card Game, and the title is to be kept alive by "Project Gwentfinity," which relies mainly on community support. With the latest update, number 11.10, for Gwent, the developers have introduced a Balance Council, through which players will be able to control upcoming changes and have a real impact on the shape of the game.

The entire process is to be based on an internal vote. In the game's menu, there is an option to go to the Council interface, from where anyone who meets certain conditions can voice his or her opinion. From now on, players will be able to decide which card should be strengthened or weakened. In addition, they will also receive an impact on the cost of recruiting individual units.

The developers inform that "changes to cards will be made as long as there are people who want them." A full description of how this new feature is to work and how to take part in the vote can be found here.

Among other changes for this free game set in the universe of The Witcher 3 there was also a treat for iOS smartphone owners. They will now be able to change the default screen cutout area. On the other hand, numerous gameplay balance fixes await other players. The full list can be found on the game's website.

The game's October season will run until November 15, with another seasonal mode coming on October 24. In the days to come, we'll probably see how the Balance Council performs, and in the long run - whether such support will be enough after the developer officially ends the game's development.
