Removed from Finnish wikipedia as unimportant.--65.49.14.27 (talk) 14:57, 22 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well... I do not know if he is important enough for an article, but he has become much more famous both in Finland and worldwide due to his more recent activities, than what he was when his article was initially deleted in finnish wikipedia. 195.148.82.17 (talk) 12:20, 23 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, i guess that he is now important enough for finnish wikipedia also after he got 2.4 years jail from internet ranting. --88.195.39.156 (talk) 19:37, 30 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It should be noted that Seppo Lehto's videos mostly receive good ratings and are filled with positive comments. It seems that most people who watch them actually agree with him in most things. 84.248.10.87 (talk) 10:49, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not unless a reliable source has bothered to write about that. It's not likely they have, and for that matter it's pretty likely people who watch them and comment are followers of his blog. It's a lot like saying "Fans of Ann Coulter approve of her books." Duh. - BalthCat (talk) 19:41, 19 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I was just banned from finnish wikipedia for making a short, informative, neutral article about this dissident. Way to go Finland. What I wrote was only this factual information: S.L. is a finnish dissident - imprisoned 2010 for 2 years 4 months sentence - drew publicly Prophet Muhammed caricatures - demanded territory returns from Russia and african immigration decrease - defamed officials who took actions against his internet blogging.

So, for your knowledge, it is forbidden to say this in finpedia :) TakkuTakiainen (talk) 10:47, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

All the more reason to keep the article, we wouldn't trust burmese wikipedia moderators to vote Aung San Suu Kyi as unimportant? Let afrikaners delete Nelson Mandela? There's a serious conflict of interest here. Seppo Lehto has gone to jail basically because of his opinions, Finland lacking freedom of speech despite being a member of EU. In addition to that, he is also being deleted in Wikipedia because of censorship by people who most probably oppose his stance both in politics and opinion, and thus want to restrict his freedom of speech to the point of deleting him from public view (which is exactly what his lengthy jail terms are trying to accomplish).

The fact is that Seppo Lehto is a true political dissident jailed for his opinions in a country that pretends to be a democratic nation, a country that has signed The Universal Declaration of Human Rights which should guarantee each person freedom of opinion and expression (Article 19) and rights for partaking in the political process (Article 21).

If Aung San Suu Kyi or Nelson Mandela were treated in this manner the world wouldn't know of them today. Seppo Lehto might not be that important today, but neither were they in the beginning of their activist-political careers. When someone's being jailed for years because of his speech and opinions, it signifies that the issues spoken about and his persona are far from unimportant. It makes for an interesting comparison that Johanna Tukiainen has not been voted to be deleted as unimportant... But then again, she doesn't have political opinions, much less ones contrary to the establishment. (Quick english summary: escort, porn actress, stripper, singer, drunk driver mostly known for her nowadays gross appearance and vacuous comments, a tabloid favorite.) Seppo Lehto is not a Nationalist and not a dissident. He is simply crazy. His rants are actually hilarious, but that should not make him worth a Wikipedia article.--2001:708:110:1820:A830:93D5:1D3E:A174 (talk) 09:19, 23 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
