The 3WExit was the term given by the media to the process of the British colony world of New Albion seceding from the Three World Empire on July 20, 2186. The occasion drew comments from British news outlets including The Guardian, The Sun, and The Times. The 3WExit led to the formation of the New Albion Protectorate, or NAPRO, which offered membership to colonies dissatisfied with mainstream governments. NAPRO swiftly gained a number of member states, and took control of several unclaimed systems in the Weyland Isles Sector, of which New Albion was part.
During the United Nations Interstellar Settlement Corps' Great Mother Mission in 2186, the 3WExit caused tensions between 3WE nationals taking part in the mission. Eventually, 3WE Colonel David Buston led an effort to contain NAPRO sympathizers and maintain order.
