Lo que más quiere Phineas es divertirse durante todo el verano con ideas fabulosas. Ayudado por Ferb Fletcher, su hermanastro. Sueña todo el día con actividades complejas y planes extremos. Parece confiar en todo lo que acaban haciendo y por lo general se hace cargo de hablar y presentar a sus amigos sus ideas. Ferb se hace cargo de la tecnología y la construcción.
Phineas es un optimista, y también siempre está dispuesto a ayudar, como en una ocasión cuando le preocupa que su hermana Candace no tiene la suficiente confianza en sí misma y decide que es buena idea construir un camión monstruo.
Phineas es muy cortés con todas las personas que conoce, por lo general suele responder a los adultos con "Sí señora" o "No señor" (o viceversa). Nunca ha mostrado cualquier egoísmo, sólo el deseo de divertirse.
Frases
Phineas (a lo contrario de Ferb) habla mucho, es más, hasta repite frases.
En muchas ocasiones a Phineas le preguntan "¿No eres muy joven para...?" y Phineas responde con un simple "Sí, si que lo soy". Por lo cual el adulto lo considera por un momento, o lo acepta o lo ignora.
Siempre al comienzo de los episodios, Phineas le dice a Ferb: "Ferb, ya sé lo que haremos hoy".
Siempre cuando Perry va a una misión, Phineas ve que falta y dice "¿Donde está Perry?" o "Oye, ¿y Perry?".
Siempre cuando le preguntan qué pasa con Perry o que puede hacer el cuando no esta dice: “Es un ornitorrinco, No hace gran cosa”.
Casi siempre al final de los episodios Phineas dice "Oh, estás ahí Perry".

Familia
Ferb Fletcher: Ferb es el hermanastro de Phineas. Phineas trata a Ferb muy bien, Ferb lo ayuda en sus ideas para las vacaciones y hace planos. Ferb es muy inteligente, ha creado todo tipo de cosas Montruos Chocones, Barcos Piratas, Autos, Pistas, Montañas Rusas, etc. En un episodio Phineas dice que Ferb es su hermano preferido
Candace Flynn: Candace es la hermana de Phineas y la hermanastra de Ferb. Ella actúa como una mujer mayor y cada vez intenta atrapar a sus hermanos, Phineas tiene una relación normal con ella y Phineas siempre ayuda a Candace. También Phineas trata bien a Candace como cuando él y Ferb ponen su cara en el Monte Rushmore como regalo de cumpleaños. Candace siempre intenta llamar a su madre pero cuando Lynda llega no descubre lo que ha pasado.
Perry el Ornitorrinco: Es la mascota de Phineas y Ferb, al igual que Ferb, Phineas lo cuida, lo baña y le enseña trucos Phineas no cuida ya mucho a Perry porque ya sabe que el se cuida solo. Aunque Perry guarda un secreto, el es en realidad el Agente P que va en cubierto
Linda Flynn: Linda es la madre de Phineas, ella trata bien a Phineas y es mutuo. Ella siempre tiene su teléfono a mano porque sabe que Candace la va a llamar sobre sus hermanos. Linda jamás se ha preguntado que hacen sus hijos en casa cuando no esta.
Lawrence Fletcher: Es el padrastro de Phineas, el trata a Phineas como su propio hijo aunque fuera su hijastro y Phineas hace lo mismo. Candace también le quiere demostrar a Lawrence que sus hermanos hacen cosas extraordinarias, Pero Como Lynda también Lawrence no le cree(aunque en ocasiones sabe lo que hacen).
Amigos
Isabella Garcia-Shapiro: Es la mejor amiga de Phineas, Isabella tiene su propio club de fans de Phineas. Phineas no sabe que a Isabella le gusta.
Baljeet Tjinder: Es el mejor amigo de Phineas. Baljeet es la principal carnada de Buford, y Baljeet le teme mucho.
Buford Van Stomm: Es el bravucón y otro amigo de Phineas. Phineas trata a Buford como tal persona y Buford trata a Phineas como otra persona... al cual golpear. Aunque no lo hace porque le cae bien Phineas.
Irving Du Bois: Un chico que admira a Phineas y a Ferb. Suele estar ayudándoles. Siempre a estado viendo todo lo que han hecho durante el verano.
