Trivia[]

  • Sherman Priest is likely named after the M4 Sherman and M7 Priest tanks used during World War II, as several of the other citizens of Aru Village, namely the three girls Oolong kidnaps, are also named after tanks.[3]
  • Sherman Priest's design would be reused numerous times throughout the anime series such as a spectator at the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament, the headman of Chao's village, the old scientist who was studying the Hikui Birds, and a villager in the crowd at Mr. Bourbon's Protective Dome's unveiling.
