Sherman Priest has a daughter named Pocawatha that Oolong wanted to kidnap and marry. When Goku came to the village, Sherman thought he was Oolong at first and attacked him. The Priest thanks Goku when he stops Oolong's plan, and takes him away from the village.
Tournament Saga[]
Sherman can be seen in the audience of the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament along with Grandma Paozu.

In the anime, Sherman appears at the Protective Dome's unveiling with Grandma Paozu and Pocawatha.[2]

Trivia[]
- Sherman Priest is likely named after the M4 Sherman and M7 Priest tanks used during World War II, as several of the other citizens of Aru Village, namely the three girls Oolong kidnaps, are also named after tanks.[3]
- Sherman Priest's design would be reused numerous times throughout the anime series such as a spectator at the 21st World Martial Arts Tournament, the headman of Chao's village, the old scientist who was studying the Hikui Birds, and a villager in the crowd at Mr. Bourbon's Protective Dome's unveiling.
