Page rename

[edit]

{{adminhelp}} What is the process to ask an admin to move a page?

Pdfpdf (talk) 04:13, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You could place a 'requested move' on WP:RM, but in this case I think it's a fairly trivial request (makes sense to me), therefore I've just changed your {{helpme}} above to an {{adminhelp}} - and hopefully one will magically appear here very soon, and see if they can move the page for you. Since there is obviously some disagreement over the page's title, please use WP:RM as Chzz suggested. Regards SoWhy 06:06, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Where there is more than one general of that name, the "Australian" standard is to use (Australian general).
The two generals (see William Holmes) are:

For some unexplained reason, someone renamed William Holmes (Australian general) to William Holmes (general), and I can't change it back - it needs an admin to do it. Like Chzz, I think it's a fairly trivial request.
However, SoWhy has requested: "please use WP:RM", so I have. Pdfpdf (talk) 12:20, 16 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
