Make certain that on both charts reissues are taken into account. Also, according to http://boxofficemojo.com/yearly/chart/?yr=1987&p=.htm it has different information than seen here. Also, could on the studio part of both charts could Fox become 20th Century Fox.

We can't change Fox to 20th Century Fox because the table column would be unnecessarily long it is understood we are discussing the Fox studio in this column. I am unsure what you mean by chart reissues, so I'm deactivation the template just change answered=no to answered=yes when you explain what you mean. What I meant by chart reissues is that sometimes a movie may get an additional release after it has finished it's original run. Of course there would be additional money towards the gross if this happens. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.17.60.15 (talk) 23:18, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tras el cristal was released during 1986 according to IMDb. 46.116.230.76 (talk) 16:05, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Not done IMDB is not a reliable source and our article on Tras el cristal has a reliable source stating 25 May 2004 - Arjayay (talk) 16:15, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
This book refers to a Variety review of the film from 5 March 1986. 46.116.230.76 (talk) 16:19, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Done - Apologies I misunderstood your request - I have deleted it from this article - it is already in our list 1986 in film - and struck half my earlier comment - Arjayay (talk) 17:52, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you! No harm done. 46.116.230.76 (talk) 18:47, 31 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Platoon is a 1986 film. Why is it in the list??!! The list is a mess. Vandalism? Careless editions? — Preceding unsigned comment added by George Rodney Maruri Game (talkcontribs) 07:38, 20 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please restore "Highest-grossing films" section to https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=1987_in_film&oldid=854246966

Platoon was released in 1986. These pages do NOT use "Calendar Grosses".

Please also see comments by Sudiani in Revision history, and "A complete mess!!!" above. 24.8.207.6 (talk) 03:27, 24 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Proposal to restore "Highest-grossing films" section to https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=1987_in_film&oldid=854246966

[edit]

One, and only one, editor had changed the "Highest-grossing films" section to be based on "Calendar Grosses".

I am not aware of any other "<year> in films" page that uses "Calendar Grosses".

I noticed that Elliot page is refered to as ellen page on this article, and I was wondering if someone could fix that for me since it is protected? Supertrzup1 (talk) 02:07, 2 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Three of the worst movies in this year

[edit]

I wonder if there should be a mention of this. More like notoriety. This year, had not one, not two, but THREE movies all in it that are ALL considered to be among the worst ever made, Garbage Pail Kids (I didn't know this until decades later) Superman 4, and Leonard Part 6. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.76.166.185 (talk) 23:21, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
