I'm not sure about the huge discussion going on about this at the wikiproject, but asllegations that this was terrorism is clearly cited on the page. I honestly thought Watchdogdb was vandalising in the first place, but I cannot see how this revert would be controversial. ~one of many editorofthewikis (talk/contribs/editor review)~ 23:00, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Definitely controversial as this claims that this was actually a terrorist attack but then fails to cite any WP:RS that claims this. Specifically, where is the reliable sources that say that this was a terror attack ? Also where is the reference that claim that this was a terrorist attack that is attributed to LTTE ? An attack that is attributed LTTE which may have civilian casualty does not automatically become a terrorist attack or terrorist attack attributed to LTTE. Also allegations from a pov source, like one of the warring parties in the conflict, does not cut it. Claiming that this incident was a terrorist attack because civilians died in this incident violates WP:SYNTH and WP:OR. Unless reference is given, please do not add the category back. Since when is a suicide bombing not a terrorist attack? I think this (from BBC) quite clearly states that the Tamil Tigers started the attack. ~one of many editorofthewikis (talk/contribs/editor review)~ 23:22, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Since when is a suicide bombing a terrorist attack ? There is no reference that say that a suicide attack is terrorist attack. Even if you can find some, it clearly violates WP:SYNTH. To add a terrorist category you must cite a RS that says that this was indeed a terrorist attack. Not all suicide attacks are terrorist attacks. If you want to see reference for that claim I can produce you one right this second. See Making sense of suicide missions which clearly claims that not all suicide bombing are terrorist attacks. Instead the reference clearly says what suicide bombings are. Watchdogb (talk) 23:29, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
"Consul General also read a letter from President Mahinda Rajapksa and ended his address by totally condemning the terrorist attack." ~one of many editorofthewikis (talk/contribs/editor review)~ 23:36, 29 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
