Read good books and be real about watching videos on grammar, spelling, and writing techniques. Why videos, you hear and see, making it more likely to be remembered. If the people that read and/or edit your work are supercritical on a personal level, get rid of them. Most writers are supportive of each other, some are not. If you try to share your work with another writer and they become discouraging toward you personally, they are probably dealing with jealousy or competitiveness. Especially if they turn every conversation about writing into a discussion about their own work. However, do not allow yourself to defend every criticism that your first readers and editors point out. If you aren’t mature enough to hear any negatives toward your writing then edit your own work and stop wasting other people’s time.
Recognize when what you have written is just bad. Sometimes we don’t realize it until we’re halfway through the story. Take away what’s good and toss the bad with dignity.
Recognize when what you have written is just good and be willing to put it out there.

“Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw.”

“Seeing that they were hopelessly ensnared, Elisha’s servant bemoaned, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?” So he [Elisha] answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.[43] Notice that Elisha prayed for his servant’s eyes to be opened, not that the invisible army of horses and chariots be made visible. This is because the angelic army was not invisible, but rather imperceivable.”
