Shu Watanabe (渡部 秀, Watanabe Shū) is a Japanese actor and singer who portrayed Eiji Hino/Kamen Rider OOO in Kamen Rider OOO, with his most recent reprisal of the role in Kamen Rider OOO 10th: Core Medal of Resurrection.

Biography[]

When Watanabe was in high school, he won 2nd Place of the 21th Junon Superboy Contest and signed with Amuse Entertainment. He would appear in several dramas before being cast as Eiji Hino in Kamen Rider OOO.

He later appeared as an original character in a live-action film adaptation of Attack on Titan.

In 2024, Watanabe reunited with OOO co-star Riho Takada in a live-action drama adaptation of the manga Batsukoi, with both of them playing the main leads.[1]

Personal Life[]

  • Watanabe notes that being a Kamen Rider was a childhood dream of his, and wouldn't give up even if people his age had laughed at him. This was his main inspiration for being an actor in the first place.
  • Watanabe is an avid collector of Kamen Rider toys, which he often gifted to his siblings.
  • Watanabe cites Kamen Rider 555: Paradise Lost to be his favorite Kamen Rider movie.[2]
