The Great Detective Has Arrived (アノ名探偵がやってきた, Ano Meitantei ga Yattekita)[1] is the twelfth episode of Kamen Rider Zero-One. It features Zero-One's first transformation into Shining Hopper.

Synopsis[]

The police have started moving in their investigation of the attempted assassination of Shinya Owada. Together with A.I.M.S. the police search the Hiden Intelligence headquarters, but any evidence that Hiden created the assassin Humagear is nowhere to be found. When the police try to enter Hiden once more in order to catch the criminal Humagear, appearing before them is Was Nazotoku, a Humagear who introduces himself as "the self-proclaimed great detective!"

  • Riku Sanjo returns as a guest writer in this episode. Sanjo previously served as the main writer for Kamen Rider W and Kamen Rider Drive. This is also the first episode not to be written by either Yuya Takahashi nor Masaya Kakehi.
    • Because of the investigative theme of the episode, Sanjo was brought in as a writer because of his writing style and/or experience with the mystery genre, which was highly prevalent in W and Drive.[2]
