Biography[]
Created by High Evolutionary[]
The Controller was a naked role rat who was genetically modified to become a Humanimal by the High Evolutionary, a fanatical geneticist with the ultimate goal of creating a perfect society.[1]
Finding 89P13[]
The Controller was first seen operating ArĂȘte Laboratories after it set off into space and towards Knowhere following the destruction of Counter-Earth. She relayed the information about the ships's state and 89P13's whereabouts to the High Evolutionary.[1]
Failed Mutiny[]
Soon, the High Evolutionary's subordinates grew resentful of him and staged a mutiny, led by Vim. The Controller stayed neutral in the conflict and focused on operating the ship; however, as Vim appointed herself the ship's new captain and ordered the Controller to disengage all damaged sectors of the ship and retreat, the Controller began typing out the command, signifying her compliance with the rebelling crew. However, she was prevented from typing out the command in full when the High Evolutionary released a wave of deadly energy from his body, killing her instantly, along with Vim and the other rebelling crewmates.[1]
Personality[]
The Controller appears to be calm, stoic and focused on her work, only speaking when necessary to relay important information to her superiors. She stays mostly passive and does not visibly react when the High Evolutionary screams at her, nor when a mutiny occurs right in front of her eyes. However, she immediately complied with the self-appointed new captain's wishes to turn back and retreat, either out of self-preservation or genuine support of Vim's side of the conflict.

- Artificially Enhanced Physiology/Bionic Enhancement: The Controller was a cybernetically augmented naked mole rat Humanimal.
- Cybernetic Enhancement: The Controller could pilot the ArĂȘte Laboratories due to her robotic parts attached to the ship.
- Enhanced Intelligence: Unlike most other humanimals, who only spoke their own distinct language, the Controller was able to communicate using the same language as the High Evolutionary and his subordinates, as well as receive and relay information about the ship's current status by using the control panel she was attached to. It is possible that she had been genetically augmented to have a higher level of intelligence than an average humanimal, in order to take in and process the information necessary for piloting the ArĂȘte Laboratories with the same speed a computer would have.
Abilities[]
- Master Pilot: The Controller was able to pilot the ArĂȘte Laboratories well in objectively extreme circumstances, as the ship was under attack and was at a risk of crashing. Vim had enough trust in the Controller's piloting abilities to order her to disengage the damaged sectors and retreat, believing that the pilot could pull through and do that, saving their lives in the process. The Controller's attempt at following said order, however, was cut short by the High Evolutionary killing her with an energy wave, along with Vim and the other crew members complicit in the mutiny.
