The Midtown group tours Venice
In June 2024, Peter Parker and a group of students from Midtown School of Science and Technology went on a trip to Europe, chaperoned by teachers, Roger Harrington and Julius Dell. Their first stop was in Venice and they arrived in Venice Marco Polo Airport. They spent the day sight seeing and taking pictures, as well as getting settled into the Hotel DeMatteis. Parker went to a nearby shop for a Black Dahlia necklace that he planned to give to Michelle Jones. Dell wanted to see the Da Vinci Museum, but it was closed.[1]
Battle in the Grand Canal[]
That same day, Quentin Beck unleashed Hydro-Man using his illusion technology on Venice. It broke out of the canals, causing a massive wave that scared off tourists. Peter Parker rushed in to try and stop it, and watched as Beck âdefeatedâ it.[1]
Aftermath[]
The Midtown group at the Hotel DeMatteis
Back at the Hotel DeMatteis, Betty Brant, Ned Leeds, Flash Thompson and Brad Davis watched a local news report about what happened. Parker spoke on the phone with his aunt before joining them. That evening, Parker brushed his teeth and got ready for bed, when Leeds came inside the room. However, to his horror, Leeds collapsed as he had been shot with a tranquilizer dart.[1]
Nick Fury's Crew Hideout[]

Parker then met Talos, who was disguised as Nick Fury. He told Parker to get dressed into his Spider-Man Suit and come with him. On the boat, he handed Parker a pair of glasses from Tony Stark. He then brought Parker to a hideout where he met with Soren, disguised as Maria Hill, and Beck.[1]
Leaving Venice[]

The next day, Parker told Leeds about his experience, much to Leedsâ excitement. The Midtown group then left Venice to continue their trip.[1]
