Haakona is a binary star system in the Psi Velorum sector block, Beta Quadrant, near the space of the Romulan Star Empire.

History and specifics[]

The system consists of a pair of yellow stars that have a planetary system in orbit. Haakona is the location of both Haakona Prime, and The Vault. (ST reference: Star Charts; ENT novel: Beneath the Raptor's Wing; STO video game: Star Trek Online)

The Romulan vessel IRW Haakona was named for this system. (TNG episode: "Contagion")

In the 23rd century of the Kelvin timeline, Haakona was considered to be in Romulan space. (ST video game: Fleet Command)
